Fuck, perfect counter shot by Witter. Harris overcommitted with right hand, nailed with a perfect left hook.

Damn, props to Witter. He must be better than I thought. He is obviously as good as Maussa, and I just didn't think he was on that level before.

I must admit I do hate witter, and his fucking queer brendan ingle style, BUT I sincerely thought Harris would beat him. I simply thought he was the better fighter.

So I was wrong, props to the shitter, he is better than I thought.

Crap, now we have to hear more of Attraction's spam.

Hopefully Mayweather beats Hatton down, then Hatton beats Witter down.

Just what Witter needed to do. Win or lose against Mayweather, Witter should be in Hatton's sights in the next 18 mon

At least we do not have to deal with Harrison anymore. Harrison is officially on the Judah talented but not able bandwagon :notallthere: . Rest in peace Harrison you are officially a tough fight for an up and comer courtesy of Witter showing his metal. Hatton must be shitting a Manchester brick.

Wow. Great victory for Witter - and by all accounts a very good fight.

Did not think Witter could put Harris away and I thought Harris' straight right hand and jab would be the deciding factor.

Well done for Junior - and a big congrats to Attraction, Ugotobekidding, and everyone else who picked Witter!!

yeah, i got a little lucky with the round but it was one of the scenarios i envisaged - both boxers being cagey but Witter being too quick and awkward.....and i knew he had the power.

It was a good fight, both knew they could hurt the other...there wasn't a lot of jabbing going on, a few feints and then bombs away when there was a sniff of an opportunity. Witter was too quick, and Harris didn't do enough pressuring, his best moment was at the start of the 6th round when he took the action to Witter, buy i think Witter hit too hard for Harris to persist with this tactic.

I have just read Jake's round by round with raised eyebrows. I understand that he gets on well with Viv, and also had a few dollars on the fight with Witter's #1 fan....but his scoring of the fight was generous to Harris, personally i only gave Harris round 6. Witter was in control throughout and his only threat was his own complacency which we saw breifly toward the end of round 3.

Witter-Mallignaggi is a difficult fight to call, and will probably be pretty difficult fight to watch, but they are the clear 1 and 2 in the division excluding the inflatable Hatton.

I conceded that the 5th round could've gone either way, but most people I know scored the 3rd and 6th for Viv. There's no way Witter won the 3rd, and the 5th was the slowest round of the fight. I missed most of the 1st but trust that Witter won. He won the 2nd, won the 4th 10-7.

So basically we disagree on one round. Lower your eyebrow

i re-watched the fight today.....the 3rd is a Witter round, more so than the 5th.....the 6th was the only clear Harris round in my opinion

Like I said, we disagree on one round. I can live with that (especially when others have given Viv the round). I agree, though, that the 6th was the only round Viv won outright. The other two are up for debate (IMO), while Witter undoubtedly won 1, 2 and 4.

I had the 1st and 6th going to Vivian.

I gave the 3rd to Witter - Harris did land some good 1-2's and body shots; but it's basically even through the first half or so...then Witter closes strong with some very clean counters. He keeps catching Viv with quick left hooks.

The 5th is definitely a Witter round...cleaner punches, better defense and counters - Harris threw more but was sloppy.

4-2 for Witter at time of stoppage.

    Peace.
