Well, I'm afraid I'm gonna aggravate you again, X. :: I pick Pedroza by razor-thin decision...primarily because he starts earlier and puts just enough rounds in the bank to withstand Sanchez's later start, adjustments, increased accuracy and late-rounds surge/aggression...and hangs on to win it, barely. To me this fight is a true pick-em. Sanchez was such a brilliant counterpuncher and seemed so calm and collected in the ring. It's hard to imagine him getting rattled mentally or emotionally. But, on the other hand, Pedroza could rattle anybody. He loved to bend the rules and his opponents always seemed to lose track of their gameplans. He was also a great late-rounds fighter; though here Sanchez gets the edge. Pedroza doesn't get enough credit for his versatility, either. Eusebio could box, jab you, bang with you on the inside, brawl, whatever. A real throwback. If Sanchez could keep his head amidst all of the low-blow and elbowing clamor, he might be able to outbox Pedroza, who would probably be more than happy to press. But, like Hopkins, Pedroza could surprise you and turn cute. This is a real "Gun to the head" pick, but I think Pedroza, being such a master of throwing you off of your game might be able to do so to the neat and orderly Sanchez, who probably wouldn't like not controlling the tempo....and would be forced to become the aggressor when Pedroza turns cute behind that jab and those legs. Pedroza would get reckless as he often did, especially late - and that plays into Sanchez's hands. But Eusebio hangs on to win it. Pedroza SD Sanchez. Peace.
