Vitali Klitschko vs. Jameel McCline Off?

They are taking Viv Harriss' now that he doesn't need one anymore.

I guess I am in the minority here but I actually have more respect for Vitali because if he had this type of surgery then he had some fairly serious problems that might have caused some of his cancellations.

Well let's see...

He literally spent all of 2005 stringing along Hasim Rahman, of all people, before eventually retiring without ever stepping foot in the ring. Along way, when Rahman to schedule a stay-busy fight while waiting, Vitali then decieded - once contracts were signed - that he too wanted to come back, attempting to secure a September fight. That got blocked, he was forced to fight Rahman in November - only to pull out and retire the week of the fight.

He then decides to come back in 2007. Rather than fight his way back to the top, he instead wants to sabotage the ONE significant fight the division has to offer at the time - Maskaev-Peter. It was directly due to Vitali's interference (and Dennis Rappaport's stalling on Maskaev's behalf) that Peter and Maskaev are fighting next month rather than earlier in the year.

And now, once again when all is said and done, Vitali has nothing to show for it, other than wasting everyone's time.

Hence... the anger.

I guess I picture him in denial. The bottom line is that back surgery is serious and he should not be, nor should he have been making any deals to fight.

 

Funny enough, everyone did have the same complaint about Lewis at the end of his career.

If Vitali simply came back against McCline and then cancelled, I wouldn't care at all, other than finding it humorous and typical. But all of that bullshit in going out of his way to sabotage Peter-Maskaev, only to now come to this, is what makes it tough to look away.

And even with Lennox, he didn't string Vitali along for a fight that never happened. He acted high and mighty in keeping people waiting to see whether or not he was going to retire, but didn't prevent a single fight from happening in the meantime. The worst you can say is that Vitali had to fight one extra fight for the WBC title, as the Johnson fight could've been sanctioned as a title fight rather than an eliminator. A big difference from keeping a fighter on hold for an entire year while under contract to fight him.

The only reason I want to see Shitali fight again is so he can lose.

I don't like his ugly style, I don't like his ugly face, I don't like his groupies who act like durablity and staying healthy isn't part of being a boxer (or athlete).

"Oh, he only lost due to injury".

His brother will surpass his achievements, if he hasn't already.
