Samuel Peter Sports New Nickname "The SledgeHammer"

Dino Duva, promoter for Sam Peter, says that the heavyweight contender now has two nicknames. He remains "The Nigerian Nightmare," but has been dubbed "The Sledgehammer" by Duva because of his KO power and this photo, on a recent visit to Peter's training camp in the Poconos. Peter gets a shot at the title against champion Oleg Maskaev at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, October 6. Showtime will televise.

 

Glad to see that 8 week training camp is paying off for Peter.

It could just be a marketing ploy by Team Peter, to ensure that Maskaev shows up on Oct. 6.

 

Uh-Oh,............this reminds me of all the Miranda posing and the hype that hypnotised people into thinking he was this unbeatable force with ungodly power. I can't help thinking of that first Toney fight to be honest.
