if Double L held any credibility of sort, he lost it all when he rated Chuck Wepner as a top 5 white fighter of all time.

zarate beat zamora's ass. the stoppage was kinda messed up tho.

    Holy crap.

Tell me this isn't true. If so, I'll add it to the list of dumb things Double Elian has said over the years.

it was that or the ref helped zamora get back up after the first knockdown.

I'll relook at it...it's been a long time since I've seen that fight; I could swear Zamora landed quite often on Zarate with big, clean shots and drove him back and that they were basically trading.

I just don't think about it as being one of the MOST ONE-SIDED battles undefeated titleists EVER.

I'll rewatch though, it's been a while...and that fight is definitely a pleasure to watch.

    Peace.

It's true...though to be honest, I'm still not sure if Doub was serious or not, and he never got the chance to talk it since the thread just up 'n' disappeared.

    Peace.

he started the thread. someone then asked him if 'white' only applied to americans, then he replied that it includes europeans and russians as well.

Don't get REED Wrong...Zarate vs Zamora WAS ENTERTAINING...

Similar to Vasquez vs Raffy Marquez II, REED Found it 1-Sided, yet VERY REWatchable...

But Zarate-Zamora was Even MORE One Sided than That...

A better comparison might be Pac-Morales III. Granted, Pac-Morales III was more lopsided than Zarate-Zamora, but still similar anticipation, and all action fight, even if not competitive.

Yeah. Remember that fight on Tuesday Night Fights that got replayed every time Raphael fought on there again? He was knocked down, and he decided to use the count, but somehow his corner missed it, and he stood up after the referee counted, "10."
