Jimmy has his old man's voice and style. He's got that old school delivery.

Buffer is all show and no substance...and the exaggerated rolling of the R's makes me wanna shoot him in the face.

Hate to say it but agreed. I work at a news station and the anchors men and women wear so much shit on their face it easily makes them look a decade younger then they actually are.

I love the old school guys. Everywhere from the turn of the century to the 70's, some of the American announcers were brilliant.

You cannot get more old school than Jimmy Lennon Sr...and like Jaws said...Jimmy Lennon Jr is an exact clone of his late father.

You would substitute "LLLLLLLLLLETS get RRRRRRREADY to RUMBLLLLLE" with "IIIIIIIt's Showtime!" :doh:

 

Jimmy Lennon Jrs is annoying. Why the fuck does he have to repeat "introducing" three times when he introduces one fighter? Also I agree that he lacks charisma. When you hear Buffer's voice, you know the fight is meaningful

 

Anyone can also use Lennon Jr. the problem is that nobody wants to

 

both Buffer and Lennon jr. are good and have their own styles that have worked for them for years.

I agree that it has been overused. I also agree that you don't really need the announcers at all. However when you do have them, at least you should have a good one like Buffer, not a Mickey Mouse like Lennon :tease: ::
