I believe him - Essex is full of bellends. But also fit, easy birds too. I'm guessing times haven't changed much in Essex over the past decade.

TBH though, i'm from Kirkby (where Everton FC are moving to) and it is quite rough. But i rarely/never see racism at all. I also lived in Livrpool city centre for 4 years and never came across it there either - same in Chester, where i lived for a year.

I guarantee though, for 99.99999999etc% of Britain, this fight won't be about race. It's simply Ricky hatton v the best boxer in the world, and christ, do we want Ricky to win!

Floyds best line was when he said Hatton was a helleva wrestler.

Exactly what I was thinking. Hatton looks like one of those roughnecks in a british film that they call in for muscle. Something out of lock stock and two smoking barrels.

Floyd looks like the typical in your face jabberjawing american. Good contrast in both. I hope the fight is good although I think Hatton may get worked.

I'll be rooting for Floyd of course. For 3 reasons....

    1. I will be betting him I don't care if he is a 2.5-1 favorite or not. Floyd should be favored bigger.

    2. I am tired of Hatton's dry humping. Floyd's going to beat his ass. :bears:

    3. I like Floyd more than Hatton. he has a much better style to watch. :flip:

Really. According to the Hitman the 4 rounds of his last bout were more entertaining then Floyds whole career.

If there ever was a fighter I want to see get stretched, it is Floyd.

I cannot stand that fucker. No charisma at all, smart mouth-trashtalking prick who makes statements he doesn't back up at all.

But he is gonna beat Hatton fairly easy. It all depends on Hatton as to whether he goes the distance or not.

But I don't think Floyd will be threatened here. Bad stylistic matchup for Hatton.

Floyd saying he is going to stand toe to toe with Hatton. lol Does he think anyone actually believes this shit now? He says that before every single fight and then it's a stinkfest.

I hope for his sake that he's lying. Because if not, it may be another Leonard vs Duran in Montreal type of deal. Hatton WOULD NOT give him a rematch though..in this one.

Lets see if Hatton stands toe to toe with Floyd. All he has done recently is tried to wrestle any fighter that decided to throw back.

Toe to toe favours the better defensive fighter which is clealry Floyd. If a C level fighter like Collazo schooled Hatton any time he let his hands go amagine what Floyd would do. Everybody knows Hatton will be holding and fouling all night because thats all he can do against a fighter of Floyds calibre.

I find it funny how people talk about Floyd stinking it up. His fights with bigger guys like ODLH and Baldomir weren't exciting but that's how he fights bigger guys. Hatton isn't bigger, he's pretty much the same size. Floyd can beat his ass from wherever he chooses to.

Right. When was the last time Hatton didn't stink it up. His fights suck shit. Floyds fights are much more entertaining.

it is gonan look just like the Gatti fight

The thing is... to ME.. HATTON is the one that is not good for boxing and who's style blows..

he is a brawler and he hugs and humps..

with FLoyd you see real skill

"weren't exciting" is an understatement, they out and out stunk.

Hatton's not bigger, but he's also not someone where Floyd can afford to fight as offensive-minded as he did against guys like N'Dou, Gatti, Mitchell, etc.

I do agree with rjj and the likes, though, that Hatton is just as much of a stinker, if not more so, than Floyd. The outcome of the Castillo fight masked the fact that it was otherwise just as excruciating to watch as the Urango fight. Sometimes a good ending (and a spirited atmosphere) makes up for a bad fight, apparently the Castillo fight is proof of that.

I'm actually surprised that so many people have such high expectations of this fight. The two most likely outcomes I foresee are Floyd potshotting Hatton to death for 12 rounds, or Ricky dryhumping his way to a controversial decision.

The De La Hoya fight did not "stink" Jake, be reasonable. The Baldomir fight only started to "stink" in the latter rounds but for the first half of teh fight it was interesting, albeit a one-sided clinic for Floyd.

you guys that say that the DLH fight stunk are just silly

I have a friend, who is not REAL into boxing.. just casual.. he said the same thing... he said he wanted to see them "Go TOE to TOE"

    lol

if you expected that... you are absurd

Floyd is a master boxer and DLH is not a wild banger either..

I expected a chess match with Floyd winning..

what we got was a CLINIC by Floyd.. he DOMINATED DLH

Sly - no question the baldomir fight fucking STUNK. People were booing and leaving etc, and it was just boring as shit.

The Oscar fight? Not a complete stinker in my opinion. It was interesting ish to watch live at least, and the fight was more or less what I expected. A fairly dull, technical, safety first fight, but not awful.

In response to REED's post that Bob N Weave just quote, yes I agree with you REED. But I'm sure you know me enough by now to know that I really do just like who I like.

I am indeed rooting for hatton, but not because he is British or White. Simply because I like his style, I love aggressive fighters.

I would have rooted for Chico over Hatton just because I love Chico. If Hatton fought Mosley I would be rooting for both of them.

Ignoring knowledge and indulging in echolocation.
"This is a mismatch, Floyd is light years above Hatton!"

This sort of self-flattering groupie chant is a true testament to how overrated Fraud really is, it's a pity some submissive non-groupies allow themselves to be affected by this mindless echolalia, in Fraud's last 4 fights, he hasn't looked in a different league to ANYBODY,.. infact, all his opposition go on to get a more impressive beating off fighters who are apparently "not in Floyds class" wtf?...The truth is, Fraud is no different to your typical garden variety rule exploiting bitch-fighter, if Corey Spinks was undefeated, and Fraud never existed, I can't help but think that perhaps he might've been the one having his glory in the sun, by default  .
