Which fighter would be more deserving of a decision in those fights? Castillo or Collazo??

I had Hatton winning by a very slim margin. I don't remember the score i had for Floyd-Castillo 1.

Both fights were very close, but neither was a "robbery".

Castillo took too long to get going and gave away too many early rounds. Close fight, and the decision was fair.

Hatton-Collazo was very close too. I didn't have a problem with the decision, although 115-112 for Hatton was pretty generous. I had it 114-113 Collazo.

Neither fight was anything close to a "robbery".

Collazo punished Hatton, Castillo only gave Floyd a tough fight, but he never hurt/wobbled Floyd or fucked up his eye. Collazo deserved a rematch more than Castillo, and I DO think that the Castillo rematch was fair.

I've never seen Hatton vs Collazo, but Floyd beat Castillo undoubtedly and with room to spare..and so my vote reflects this.

last time i checked castillo outlanded floyd 204 to 155...and most of castillo's shots are power shots compared to floyd's well known pot shots...so where is the room to spare exactly??

Last time I checked, fights were scored by rounds and not by overall landed punches (according to compubox).

    Floyd won more rounds: 1-4,8,10,11

i don't remember which rounds i scored for whom since it's been a while so i won't get into THAT..but a fight where a fighter outlands the other by 50 punches with no clear dominant rounds suggests castillo was consistally landing more punches..

even when some of you feel floyd won the fight you have to agree scoring was a joke..

    116-111 | judge: John Keane 115-111 | judge: Jerry Roth 115-111 ? wtf

True, I had it closer, it could've been a split decision

    That's assuming many things:

    1. That the guys who did the counting were without error
    2. That the alleged margin of 50 punches was spread out fairly evenly over the rounds (what IF, for example, Castillo outlanded Floyd by and average of over 25 punches in just 2 of the rounds in total)
    3. That landed punches is the only thing that matters and to hell with Ring General ship, defense, effective agression, accuracy etc..

7-5 isn't room to spare, it's 1 round away from a draw (which is how I had it).

That said, I picked Hatton-Collazo. The absolute best I can see in that fight was Hatton winning by a point, the knockdown being the distance. Some rounds were close, can see 6-6 (with KD being the difference) to 8-4 Collazo.

I actually had another round in there as well, but can't remember which one (to make it 8-4), but the abovementioned 7 were clear rounds for Floyd IMO.
