there was a discussion about this lately so let's make an objective poll to settle this. Out of these two best-known MCs, who do you prefer
Buffer has a better voice and catchphrase, but Lennon doesn't try to tell stories and take too much time yapping.
it's weird, but on TV, I'd rather hear Jimmy Lennon Jr. But Buffer does make a bigger difference when you're there live.
Either... They BOTH Get REED's Juices Going... BOTH were the Preeminent Guys of their Era...It's like CHOOSING btwn Walker Smith & Cassius Clay... REED
i dont really have a preference. they both do a good job. i can't stand bruce buffer tho. he's garbage. who was that guy that used to do USA's tuesday night fights? something Mero? and i liked the old announcer from the 80s and early 90s. I forget his name.
Agreed, Bruce Buffer blows. As far as the poll i don't have a huge preference either way, but i voted for Michael Buffer as i just prefer his voice.
Chuck Something...Chuck Hull???... REED Always Liked Ed Derian (sp)...He Announced the Old School ESPN Fights... Frank Cappucino Ref'ed a TON of Fights on ESPN Back then & Derian Always Said his Name N a Cool Way...."Frank Ca-POO-CHEEEEE-No" REED::
Is that the gray-haired guy with glasses? "10 rounds......heavyweights......George Foreman.......Foreman"
haha. yea. i said mero because i knew it sounded like Marc Mero (pro wrestler), but wasnt sure if it was Marc or Mero that I remembered.
I just e-mailed a friend of mine who's a big MMA fan with: Michael Buffer > Bruce Buffer therefore Boxing > MMA
Can't Remember if he Did that Fight, but he Did MOST of the GREAT Fights of the 80's... Leonard-Hearns I, Hagler-Hearns,etc...He Did Alot of Hagler Bouts... "Marvelous...Maarvin...HAGLER....HAGLER" Hull had a Deeper Voice than Most...Heavyset Guy, Kinda Tall... REED
I know it's either Chuck Hall or Chuck Hull. He's the greatest ever. No one said "Champion of the World" or any nickname better than Chuck.
