Re: vs PBF, as soon as that 1st round was over went I thought, 'here we go again'.
All those 'Super-Fights' where De la Hoya has been involved in and promised so much, yet so miserably failed to deliver.
IMO, DLH has always looked like shit in the build-up to fights....as far back as against Camacho (who also got the better of him in the press conference).....

Anyway, I digress: Mayweather is definately taking Hatton seriously, I'm pretty sure of that.....I honestly think, in Mayweather's mind, he feels this fight is going to be 5x harder than with De la Hoya.

For the first time in ages, I think we're in for a proper fight.

 

I'm glad Ricky said something instead of playing pocket pool. That's all I've requested. However I still have to question why didn't he do it from jump. I really wish people would stop saying that Floyd is in his prime. 11 years as a pro, five weight classes - just because he's still undefeated and IS the best doesn't mean that he is STILL AT his best. Just like Roy Jones' prime didn't extend all the way through the Ruiz fight.

 

Agreed. Floyd is probably slightly past it, but hell IMO Hatton is also. Floyd isnt the same fighter that destroyed Corrales, and Ndou anymore. But he'll still pot shot Ricky's face off.

Floyd is only 30, but he's been at the top for almost 10 years now. He hasnt declined to the point where its really obvious, but I doubt he's quite as quick or as athletic as the 21-22 year old Floyd.

Its just like RJ. The RJ that beat up Julio Gonzalez for example was slightly past it, but not to the point where it was obvious.
