Briggs vs Foreman. In the Foreman fight. I remember him saying he felt like he was being led to his execution on his way to the ring.

    Spinks vs Tyson

    What else?

Just about every fight in recorded history somebody was going in there scared. It's not normal not to be scared before trading punches to the face with someone.

Oh ok, I probably knew that.

Does McCall against Lewis II count or does that fall in the category of "Clinically depressed"?

Didn't one of Lacy's early opponents bolt out of the ring when Lacy took his ring robe off before the first round.

if Golota wasn't terrified of Tyson going into the fight, then the first round certainly did the trick. the second round even more so.

"I was trying to stick the mouthpiece in his mouth when I shoud've been shoving up his fuckin' ass" - Al Certo

Al Certo is an idiot. He tires too hard to be the centre of attention and one more thing i think he was training the vinny kid when he fought holyfield and that wast he first time that i heard a trainer say in an interview prior to the fight that his fighter has no chance to win it  but getting back to the topic ya golota was scared in the tyson fight clearly. even at the press conference he won sunglasses not to look tyson in the eyes i assume. Andrew was NEVER like that before the lewis fight. I think that fight ruined his psyche completely

Golota was intimidated by Tyson from the jump. In the press confrences during the stare down when Mike got right up in his face Golota wore sun glasses, probably trying to hide from Mike how scared he was.

And all he had to do to win is not show fear. Pretty much all of Tyson's early fights featured a frightened opponent. Bruce seldon was right up there with Alex Stewart.

Tyson in the Holyfield rematch..although not sure if Tyson was scared or just not very confident at all....he wouldn't even look HOly in the eyes during the staredown

Golota should've had more confidence against Tyson. Tyson looked like sh*t in that fight and any number of fighters could've taken him. Dude actually had to inhale in the middle of a bob/weave in only the second round. If Golota had any balls, that fight would've been his after about 4 rounds when Tyson's blown his tank as is usually the case.
Too bad with Golota, a giant guy with little confidence in himself. It was even more strange to see Golota with his 6'4, 84" reach allowing Tyson to get inside on him like that. Didn't use any jab or anything, ust playing scared and letting Tyson control him. Crap fight!

Tyson often used intimidation against other opponents to hide his own fear. He even admitted in his interviews that often he was scared, once crying in Teddy's arms as a kid.

golota's jab was never the same after a shoulder injury caused a major car crush just days after michael grant fight in 99. Golota's left shoulder was severly injured and he never regained that great jab he once had..
