did you guys curse so much to appear to a cooler audience or something? :dunno: ________ Lovely Wendie99
I was only able to listen to a few minutes of it, but I was able to get two things out of it. Keep slystaff on. He's a breath of fresh air. If you guys put a real show together, have him be the co-host. Cut the cursing. There are other ways of giving off a feeling of no-holds barred boxing discussion amongst friends.
WBC Light Heavyweight number 3 contender Chris Henry and his promoter Cameron Park are slated to be on Sunday for everyone. A lot of folks that come here don't go on the forums and the radio link is on the front page is what I was alluding to.
Wasn't he supposed to fight in Houston last week? Anyway, curious to hear what he'll have to say about Chad Dawson, as the show will take place the night after Dawson-Mendoza.
I'm sorry to say but cursing on the show is not going to bring in fans.:dunno: If you want to be professional, then act professionally. Make the show more dignified other than being a crappy version of Howard Stern's radio show. Afterall, who the hell wants to hear some joe blows talking sh*t and cursing while acting like they're all that? Unless all of you were professional fighters with real credentials and had been in real wars, you'd have actual merit to curse. But to the average listener, you come across as 4 normal dudes who wished you'd all been real fighters but couldn't, yet you throw your sh*t out there like it's all set in stone. Somebody like Mike Tyson, Floyd Jr or somebody can come on that show and curse like hell and fans will accept it. Nobody wants to hear a bunch of internet nobodies cursing. That's when fans will just turn that garbage off, thinking it's just some dumb kids with opinions. Cut the cursing and you'll be much better off. Give the show some class rather than coming across as a bunch of drunks who think they're hot sh*t.
That's the idea, should be really interesting. As open as Chad is with his chin exposed, I can see Mendoza putting him on ice early. If Mendoza dosen't get him out of there early, he will tire badly after 2 rounds and Chad should take over. Cameron had a card last week, but Chris didn't fight. His next fight is in Beaumont.
what a garbage replacement. i was a bit shocked when i saw him KO olijade, but then olijade turned out to be haha.. dawson fought better competition prior to his title winning effort vs. adamek.
yep, a shame as his comp and skill level progressively increased with each fight. Now he gets junk for the past two fights (well the last one and this one). that said, he can only fight the guys who accept the fight.
I would think the same, the LHW division isn't much cop but mendoza is barely espn level, at MW or JMW (wasn't that where he Koed Olajide?)...no thanks
Mendoza's a True Supermiddle... The Olajide Fight was 1 of the POOREST Instances of Matchmaking/Scouting U'll EVER See... Mendoza was a LATE Replacement who Olajide's Peeps had NO Footage of Whatsoever...All they Knew was that he was Moving DOWN from 168 to Fight @ '54 & that he was 16-0, 16 KO's... Yet the Took the Fight ANYWAYS... REED::
And with all of that in mind, in addition to K Rubin Williams TFO, Mendoza was still chosen as Lonnie Bradley's comeback opponent. SRL (who promoted Bradley's one and only comeback fight) was convinced that his style was tailor made for Lonnie. The bout ended up getting cancelled about 45 minutes before the opening bell, after Mendoza somehow managed to break his elbow in the locker room. Bradley was rescheduled to fight two months later. He fought David Lopez, who beat the everloving piss outta Lonnie before forcing him to quit midway through the 7th. SRL ensured Lonnie that he'd stay by his side and bring him along slower in 2004... only to sign David Lopez immediately after the fight :: , who in turn exposed yet another heavily-hyped undefeated NYer in Jerson Ravelo.
Sly sounds like Lennox :: My God I hit a new low downloading this stuff. I must be world record bored.
Sam Peter, New movements? Different fighter? Better shooter? No heavyweight can beat him? I had enough ::
My take; Overall pretty good. Karl sounded loaded. Sly sounded like a Jamaican Benny Hill. Everyone was in denial about Dela.
Not bad, although whatever the reason, Karl sounded out of it, it did detract from the show...Sly sounds like a cross between lennox and chris eubank, but his contributions added to it, good idea to add more posters, some of them have turned out pretty impressive in this kind of format
Thanks Der Tiger. Karl was sick so he was on medication. Next week will be even better with the addition of Andrew Brown
