If they actually go through with the fight, Top Rank has a nice co-feature for a future HBO or Showtime telecast, and can actually spend money for a decent main event.

that was the plan, but they couldn't work out the details. Hence, the purse bid. Now they can move forward... though I seriously doubt Collazo fights Clottey for, what $17,500 and change. Curious to know what they were seeking before the fight went to purse bids, as all reports indicated both sides were asking for way more than what was being offered.
Maybe that purse bid will smack those 2 in th face with the reality that neither is a draw ( to put it mildly).
I can see Collazo being called a top-10 contender, but Clottey? The guy who got whupped by Baldomir into quitting?
