Based on the traffic numbers available Boxingscene is just .03% shy of overtaking Fightnews as the #1 source for boxing news. Fightnews has continued to sink over the last few months so change is in air. Eastsideboxing is closing in on Boxingscene and Fightnews too. Boxingtalk, boxingconfidential and thesweetscience continue to sink in the ratings. rignsidereport is steady going up. FightBeat is slowing passing Saddoboxing (they are big in the UK). Every other site not listed here is pretty much insignificant in terms of visitors. Let me also add that Max Boxingscene and Fightnews combined still can't touch sherdog.com Just thought I would share that. Congrats to all of the sites on the rise cupey
if you ever want to get a few kicks playing with the numbers check out the traffic of your favorite site on http://www.trafficestimate.com/ It's not 100% accurate, but still fun. Cupey
I still don't get how ESB remains relevant. And dammit if they don't have as many pop-up issues as (if not more than) BoxingScene! I have to admit, Ringside Report maintaining also has me baffled. I guess it's the Brad vs. Brad feud that brings about inquiring minds. B-Scene's numbers have been climbing for a minute. The perfect time to ask Rick for a raise :: Nice to see that FightBeat's numbers have remained steady, and in a good way. :bears:
thanks brother. I'm confused how the fuck ringsidereport even gets any visitors. Eastside just proves there are more stupid people than smart people in the world :: Cupey
yeah ESB is terrible. The only time I go there is if I write a press release, at which point I check a bunch of sites to see who posts it. If nothing else, I can say that ESB will post anything and everything no later than 5 seconds after you hit "send" Amazing how far TSS sank, and how quick it happened. Joe's name is still on their roster. Every once in a while I'll check in to see if submitted anything, but as far as I know it's been quite a while since his last article.
ESB is sometimes a nice change from the typical US-centric crap you get at a lot of other sites. I don't go there much, but it's nice to see a Euro champ get evaluated instead of dismissed solely because he's not from here.
Just wondering, is Pedro Fernandez and Ringtalk still around?:: I heard that clown this morning on a local radio show here in SF. He called in as a guest to talk about the Delahoya pics and said they were real.
Because they steal boxing fight videos from other sites and put them in their forums. Reminds me of another site.
HaHa! I haven't read Pedro in years but he's always hated De La Hoya. Actually now that I think about it I think he hated anybody who ever had anything to do with boxing who didn't unconditionally kiss his ass and tell him he's the man.
I haven't read RingTalk since Cliff left, and even then, I didn't go there unless following a link sent by Cliff whenever his articles posted.
Whatever it is, it's a welcome change from the 'simply bestowing of virtues' on Americans and Mexicans that you run into everywhere else.
could be mikE. I find esb a mixed bag. sometimes your find excellent articles, others are no better than a forum post. But still, interesting stuff. Cupey
I forgot Max Boxing. Max has been somewhat consistent but their traffic has fallen over the last few months. The distance between 1st -4th place is big Cupey
I only went to RingTalk for cliff and occasionally when I felt like listening to Pedro's show. You've got to admit, he's good behind a mic. The last time I listened was when he gave me a mention after Diaz vs. Freitas. I think it went something like this... "I had a nice time at foxwoods hanging out with Cliff Rold and some dude in a Boxing Tribune shirt."
Pedro is very smooth behind a microphone. But after you hate on everyone eventually everyone hates you back. C
Yes sir. If you go to your favorite website, Mike Swann wrote three or four pieces on Pedro really tearing into him. It was a little OD, but an interesting read.
You mean Mike (I know what Gary Shaw had for lunch because my head is in his ass) Swann? If anyone is bashing someone it should not be him::
Yep, that guy. Max Boxing probably dropped because they dont cover international fights. With no fights going on in the states, their hits would obviously drop.
Agree. I don't go there often and this place has enough variety to be tolerable, but I do think esb fills a niche and despite any legit criticisms of the place, I like it.
I just mainly go to ESB for entertainment. Only on occassion do I expect to have some serious knowledgable discussions about boxing.
