I think Perez lost to Kirilov, but it was a close fight. And Kirilov is a great fighter, IMO. So either way, that makes Perez a good "and" exciting fighter. That's what stars are made of. Anyone know anything about the opponent? Is it a legitimate challenge? At 115, the guy could be awesome and I would not have heard of him.

perez is pretty good imo. is he still w/ don king? king doesnt care for midgets and usually they get their careers stalled by signing w/ him.

Agbeko's only loss was a robbery. Yes he is pretty good. Both guys should stand and trade a lot so it should be a good fight. As for Kirilov being a great fighter? No, he really isn't. Regardless Agbeko-Perez could be the best fight of the night

Close fight? At minimum it was a 3 point win for Kirilov....4 (116-112) if you made the 8th 10-9 because Kirilov basically won the round sans knock-down.

    Kirilov won 8 rounds.

That was a bad decision (to not say robbery).

    Peace.

Sure, but I also watched Kirilov look completely clueless and get schooled by Tokayama.

Yup...that "loss" is against Sidorenko, btw - whom Agbeko SHOULD have beaten.

And Joseph can punch - hard.

Should be a great fight and I think Agbeko will win it - he's a big bantam and can box.

    Peace.

True....but then again, Kirilov was able to get up and finish strong...I thought he took two of the last 4, including the 12th.

    Peace.

why not? It was a terrible decision, one of the worst of the year. If they were 30 lb. heavier, everyone would've called it "another black eye for boxing."

This fight should be a lot more competitive than Dawson-Mendoza, unless of course, Dawson shows up completely disinterested. I'm hesitant to predict an upset, though who knows which Perez will show up.

He punched the shit out of Perez, but I really don't think the fight should have been stopped.

    .....

Yeah it was a premature stoppage but it's not like Perez was doing anything except getting beaten up and he was starting to get hurt to in the final round.
