I also have to say in fairness, especially regarding Sly who predicted a KO... Taylor did deliver with his shorter faster delivery and he did almost pull it off.... just something to think about. Regarding Taylor's success in this regard I think a couple of things saved Pavlik:

1) Taylor is strong but really has never proven to be a devistating puncher. People, including Sly make the mistake of thinking that because Taylor is physically a very strong Middle weight that he is a big puncher when he really is not.

2) Taylor was still under attack... Pavlik always touched him at least a little, even when he had to get his wits about him.

3) Pavlik showed tremendous heart, forbearance and intelligence in understanding that Taylor would eventually fold as he always inevitably does.

 

It's got nothing to do with all those intangibles...it's Slystaff's "you are dead wrong and stupid, and I'm right and intellectually superior" self-assured bloated blowhard attitud, that was the insipration for this thread in his honor.
