thats a good question. Frankly Pavlik should stay away from the Winkster. Winky would make him look bad even if he beats him and he has bigger fish to fry. Pavlok would match up well against the likes of Calighe, Kessler and even Hopkins (at this stage in Hops career). I feel Winky's pain.... always avoided, but he did lose to Hopkins.

Honestly Winky would probably win an ugly fight.

Pavlik - Wright is the next logical fight for both these guys

a semi-name for Pavlik...the only one possible at 160, really

and a good chance for Wright to be middleweight champ

I see it very much the same. If Pavlik fights anyone else at 160 it should be Abraham. After he KO's King Arthur just move up and start frying the fishes at 168.

I think so too with how reckless Wright fights these days. However I doubt Winky would take this fight because he's a money fighter these days and he's a bit deluded in his own self worth as well.

Wright would be a very bad fight stylistically for Pavlik. I could se Winky outlanding hi to capture a decision

Winky is a stylistic nightmare for Pavlik. If Pavlik avoids Winky and grows a bit more into a good and natural higher weight class he can get it on with guys who mix it up... for a while.

Look when Winky beat everyone thats one thing. But Hopkins beat him.... yeah at this weight and not at that weight but who gives a fuck? because at the end of the day Winky is only dangerous now and not omnipotent, so why climb that mountain?

If Pavlov fucks with that shit Winky could easily make him look bad and take him out of the running for Hopkins, Calzighe and Kessler and maybe even Tarver.

I just think that Pavlik to get better has to get his style down by fighting guys, for a while who he matches up well with. When he gets the fine points in his game together then he can fight a guy like Winky who can make you look like an amateur.

Hopkins beat Winky because he is experienced enough to know how to adjust and frankly it wasn't a tough fight for him. Trinidad, a banger, had his career derailed because he had no concept of how to handle Winky.

I would like to see Pavlik let Winky retire and when pavlik is about 30 something, fight the next generation Winky . Cause right now the Wink would probably school Pavlik and derail him imo.

The overrating of Winky never ends. He was given rough moments, and bruised up by Sam Soliman for Christ sake! Pavlik would stop his old, washed up ass!

Lets look at resume's and see who has beaten more top fighters. Frankly it is a stretch to consider Taylor a top fighter when considering he never had a dominant win against anyone of any note. And on Taylor's alleged punching abililty? Who of any note has he ever Kayoed?

Taylor hung in there with the best. For some reason he got his hand raised and Stewart fed the hyperbole. Pavlik did a great job but Winky is a lot more polished fighter than Taylor.

And so far all we have seen from Pavlik is that he is murderous guy when exchange punches. We are yet to see how he does against cute boxers and I am sure Wright would try to box him if those two ever met. For once man, keep your head cool even though you have found a new favourite

Winky is no longer an elusive boxer. 7-8 years ago he was, but he's a far cry from the fighter he was back then. I think you'd be surprised at how easily Kelly would penetrate his gloves.

Yeah, but Winky didn't dominate or even beat JT either.

However, I do give Wink one chance: If he respects Kelly's power the same as he did Tito's and is still able to be as defensively dominate as he was in that fight, then I could easily see Winky beating the Pavster. However if Wink elects to fight all reckless as he's been doing lately, then he gets plastered.

    Yep...

Unless Winky REdiscovers his Footwork @ his ADVANCED Age...

Bottom Line, U CANNOT Stand Right N FRONT of Kelly Pavlik & BEAT him...Not @ 160lbs...

Winky is one of the few fighters that can, simply because of his high guard, discouraging defense...COUPLED with Pavlik's slow hands.

that's why stinky is so overated

he dominates smaller fighters like Mosley and oldman Tito by doing this......shit has proven to not work against decent fighters his size or bigger

wright would need to be offered 4+ mill to face pavlik and I don't see hbo investing that much in the bout. sergio mora might be in the on deck circle for pavlik.

I'd like to see him face andrade next, personally and set up a fight with the nov 3 winner.

Librado Andrade ?? I seriously doubt he could go to 160 as hes already a huge 168lber. Or are you refering to another Andrade?

Amen. The guy is f´n old, he just got beat by his grandpa in a dull fight, and now he´s supposed to challenge for the middleweight title coming of a loss, and a draw. He had his shot, and if he wants another, he should get in line and earn it. I´m sick and tired of grandpa boxing and fans who can´t let go.

Why dont either of them fight the top light-heavyweights?, since they're apparently both amazing victories north of 170 ^?... Do you think either will rule light-heavyweight once Hopkins retires?..:crafty:

Stylewise...assuming that Wright has anything left..Pavlik simply CANNOT beat Winky unless by controversial decision. Kelly's ppunches will be blocked and he'll be countered..ALL NIGHT LONG......
