in control? When was this? Other than the 2nd round, it was Kelly dictating the pace and taking control.

Sly still has a pretty decent record of pics. No need to rub it in you beener! (spelled differently makes it a different word hopefully). Stafford is just confident. Frankly though I would have to say he made a big mistake in assuming that because Taylor is strong that he is a big puncher. There simply is no evidence that Taylor is a big puncher:dunno:. Thats the reason why I was not assured that Taylor would win... I thought he probably would get another shitty decision.

I don't know Hector... I just hate to see someone take it on the chin like he is going to. But that shit is funny:lol:

:nono: Shit happens, you can't win them' all if you actually fight hard instead of running around the ring backwards like a bitch, he got caught, he lost the fight, fair enough, but I'm sure he can regroup, and if I were him I would definitely take the rematch and prove himself to be better than this, in no way was he being dominated before the KO, it was a good scrap, and without a doubt I think Jermaine himself will push for the rematch, he's never ducked anybody. I must add though, that Jermaine is, and forever will be, Bernard Hopkins father and master, that status will never change :cheer: .

did you copy and paste this....from Tszyu...Abdullaev..Margarito...Taylor....etc..

You say the same thing...."If you actually fight hard instead of running around the ring backwards like a bitch" = You not a skilled all around fighter...so you can only go forward..eating punches...

COTTO COMES to FIGHT and doesn't BACK-away as much as TAYLOR......but COTTO sucks in your opinion...

    Serve me some cow please.

I hoped Pavlik would win but for some reason I had a feeling Taylor would pull out a decision. Guess it didn't happen that way. Apart from the second round shocker Pavlik was always in command and finished Taylor in style. Long live the new king

:nono: Uh uh uh uh uh!,..Cotto doesn't suck, remember what I said?,.. I'd actually be a fan of him if it wasn't for YOU, but really, If I didnt post on messageboards, Cotto would probably be one of my favourite fighters to watch, he's not a bitch, he is however, very VERY overrated at this point, if he beats Mosely, which I doubt he will, then he may be worthy of some of this unwarranted hype. I mean come on Illuminati, his best win is over Judah coming off two losses in a row?,....:notallthere: and people cry if he's not on a pound for pound list?,..

Oh Kauki my articulate and misdirected confriare! Your song is out of tune, your suite is just a little too big, or small and your hat and tie don't match. You are the vacuum cleaner salesman who can't get the dirt out of the carpet, you are Martin Eden, Arthur Miller's salesman... you have to exerscize Buddhist non-attachment and let Margarito go. You have to realize that tonight Taylor was left slumped in a corner like a slaughtered Razorback, grist for the porkmill of your ruminating and concillatory mind...

Let them go and cease making your field of dreams a pergatory of has-been-dom and brokeness... let them go Kauki! Let the Azteca Margarito go and embrace the Puerto Rican Jesus, the man called Cotto, the man who's name in ancient Spanish translates as the puncher of the body.

I fear for your sanity as you have become nefariously unbalanced in your delusional rant about grown men running in the square circle, let Floyd into your heart! The word is Pavlik and it is the bell that the salvating dogs know... and that you should know as the word that will help you abandon these sad notions of broken dreams of Margarito's and Taylor's fistic trajectory.

    Here I am!

Sorry I'm late, went out partying after the fight!

    I'll gladly eat my crow!

Kelly Pavlik proved to be a better fighter than Jermain Tonight. Bottomline.

I had Taylor winning more rounds and ahead on points at the time of the stoppage, but he looked very sloppy in there from the opening bell and I realized as the fight went on that he wasn't as good as Ithought he was and he really is a sloppy fighter.

    "However"

I can't say I was too impressed with Pavlik in this fight either. I have the same opinion of Pavlik after the fight as I had going into the fight...it's just that Taylor's chin wasn't as good as I thought.

Makes me wonder how the hell Hopkins let Taylor beat him twice. :dunno:

Bernard would have dominated Pavlik and a guy like Calzaghe or Kessler would crucify him.

Nevertheless...Pavlik is better than Taylor, and even though I had Jermain winning more rounds, as I said before, I had Pavlik looking better in there.

I was SCREAMING at the screen when Jermain dropped him! "FINISH HIM OFF!!!!"

I would have been the one in here gloating had that happened.

Anyway this fight proves that at the very least...Taylor hit harder than any of you guys gave him credit for and Pavlik DOES NOT have an Iron chin! :nono:

Theres nothing wrong with Taylor's chin. Its not glass. Its just that Pavlik has devestating power. Kessler and Sloppy Joe beat his ass at 168 I agree, but at 160 theres NONE who I'd give a prayer at beating him.

I wish that smurf looking fraud Abraham would grow balls, and come to the states, so that Kelly would do MORE than just break his jaw.

god damn even in defeat you are as wrong as a human can be.

Taylor got crucified and took several monsterous bombs from Pavlik without going down, how does he have a bad chin?

And Pavlik got hit with a ridiculous combo as he stood straight up trying to showboat. How exactly does he have a bad chin?

You call that eating crow? Making f*cking excuses like hell with a whole lot of "yeah but...." statements?
How the hell did you even have Taylor winning more rounds? Pavlik was on top of him, dictating the action and the pace. Hopefully tomorrow when you've regained your senses you'll watch it again and come back to reality.
Yeah Hops would've dominated Pavlik and most everybody else would've crucified him. Nice way to ease the pain and humiliation, f*cker!

Jermaine beat Hopkins arse because he's his daddy, it's as simple as that. I don't know who'd win between Hopkins / Pavlik stylistically, but Jermaine trumps Hopkins everytime. That status will never change. To say "Hopkins is a better fighter" is like saying "Hopkins is a better fighter than Roy Jones all-time" because of recent accomplishments, but we all know that's bullshit. :nono:

Yo Hanzy...I said that Pavlik was the better man than Taylor..bottomline and I said also that although taylor won more rounds...I had Pavlik winning the war. I also admitted that Taylor isn't as good as I thougth he was. What more do you want.

I'm just sharing the rest of my thoughts. Just because Pavlik won, doesn't mean that I should think that it was impressive.

It was only impressive in the sense that he showed grit and determination by rising off the canvas to do it! That's great. But Pavlik looked very beatable in there to me and Jermaine just wasn't as good as I thought he was.

On a side note: After watching Pavlik's family, the music he came into the ring with and the WHITE cloths they were waving as he came into the ring I can safely say that the Middleweight Championship of the world is in the hands of the Ku Klux Klan!

If you'd honestly pick Taylor over the Hopkins of 7-8 years ago, then theres absolutely no help for you, and you should do yourself a favor and ban yourself.

Props to REED and Xplosive on this fight....REED in particular for he was on the PavliKKK bandwagon even prior to the Miranda fight.

You guys called it and The Sly was wrong!!

I will also admit that PavliKKK's length did trouble Jermain also...and he was a smoother more complete technician.

However, PavliKKK is very slow and very sloppy himself. His reign wont be long....

    DON'T Sweat it, Brother SLY...

EVERYBODY is WRONG from Time to Time...

U Put Yourself "Out There" & as Such U DESERVE Credit...This was a GREAT Fight & Taylor SHOWED Some of the Traits that Made U PICK him to Win...

It's NOT like U Picked Taylor & he got EASILY Destroyed...He CHALLENGED Pavlik to the FULLEST...

Thanks dude! But you definitely deserve full credit on having a keen eye and sticking to your conviction about Pavlik long before anyone was really talking about him.

I have NUFF respect for that!

Pavlik showed the heart and maturity of a champion.
