There is something about this guy that I hate....can't quite describe it but i'll say this peter is arrogant yet extremlly dumb..which is a bad combo...Plus this dumb arrogant fuck shouldn't have anything to be proud off. He won a controversial decision over old toney. Then he beats an old toney..then some random guy arguablly beats toney which proves what peter did was no big deal...i hate you jeremy williams and your glass chin for creating this fucking hype job...I hope McCline beats him...which he should unless he goes in scared..which he will :( and peter stay the fuck away from wlad. wlad won't be as nice next time as he was last time
dsimon writes: Peter is arrogant at times. He accomplished a lot beating Toney in the rematch. He showed that when he trains seriously he is a different fighter. He is also a big puncher, though I would hesitate to call him devistating. Also, if he had a competative fight with Vlad when he was i shit condition, he might be a more formidable opponent when he is in shape. I don't care for him much either. I will respect him a lot more if he trains more seriously for his bouts. Mccline is a big girl I don't see him doing much against Peter.
i was a bit disappointed when Golata's named was nixed as a potential replacement after Maskaev pulled out. that would've been a great 1st round KO.
I think he's frustrated more than anything. He hasn't fought since January because of all the crap and politics the parties have been involved with concerning title shots, money, Vitali wanting to stall the fight and use his emeritus rank to get the shot before Peter, Maskaev pulling out, etc.
golota is 40 years old..get real kid...a prime golota schools this one dimensional overrated hype job
nah not a prime golota. prime golota was fearless! bowe hits way harder than peter and if golota can take bowe's heat he can take peter's heat..plus bowe was much much more skilled than peter..so peter wouldn't hit golota nearly as much as bowe hit him
dsimon writes: Vlad and Toney (the first fight) humbled him plenty. I actually gained some respect for him when he beat Toney by preparing properly the second fight. But it remains to be seen if he will continue to train hard or not.
He's potentially a big puncher because he has a lot of strength, but who's he knocked out to prove that he is a big puncher?
Peter is one of the few positive things about the shitty heavyweight division. I am not surprised they are ducking him like crazy.
jeremy williams......even if peter never knocks out anybody else that KO will make people belive he's a big puncher
i can see the case being made that Peter's power is overrated. but how can anyone argue that the guy doesn't hit hard? ::
slightly above average? so give me an example of a: 1. a guy who is an average hitter 2. a guy who is a below average hitter 3. a guy who hits harder than Peter
That is a difficult one, since you really don't know how hard Peter punches since he hasn't KOed anybody. So he might be among the better puncers of the division or not you really can't tell. However I am pretty ure Wlad hits harder (and definately is more effective a puncher) than Peter
you dont have to beat some iron chinned stud to be known as a puncher. based what i've seen from peter, he's hard puncher. if you disagree, that's cool, but i bet most will agree that peter is a puncher.
