That's a flat out lie because the doctor is there and he is nodding his head answering questions.

Smoger should have let it continue so Pavlik could knock Taylor's unresponsive, bent over ass out of the ring I guess.

I don't see how anyone could make a rational argument as to why it was an early stoppage. The one thing that'll stop almost any fight is the whiplash, when someone's head gets knocked to the side, and then it bounces back the other way. That happened twice to Taylor in the final sequence.

It happened more than twice in the second round.........but it wasn't Taylor.

Really? There were three whiplash punches, where the neck reverses direction? Can you post the exact time when each occurred?

You didn't watch the second round if you can't tell me you didn't see his head roll back.

I will just ask this question once: If you knew that when you got up you would be face to face with Steve's trouser snake would you have gotten up from that corner? Taylor is not a homosexual so naturally he figured he would wait till Steve went to a neutral corner. And everything Kauki said also:tease:...all that stuff!

I guess so. That's what people are basically saying by claiming an early stoppage. Taylor was done, I don't see how anyone can say otherwise.

    Is Taylor complaining? nope.

If there is no controversy with a fight, some people always want to inject some.

You can even see Taylor leaning to the side to get away from it, good point.

Ironically, neither is Pavlik......but he didn't get waved off from a 20 punch combo in the second round.

If U're Talking about the CLOSEUP,OVERHEAD Angle they Show of Taylor, yeah, the Doctor's Asking him Questions & Taylor's Knodding, but a Couple Things about THIS PARTICULAR SCENARIO SHITS on YOUR Assertion, TROLLER...

    1. The Ring was FILLED w/People by then...This had to B @ Least 60 FULL Seconds, or More, AFTER Pavlik's Last Blow Landed...Nonetheless, the PRIDEFUL Jermain Taylor was Still Sitting on the CANVAS, NOT a Stool:nono: ...

    2. As the Doctor is Asking Taylor Questions & he's Nodding, he Looks Over to Ozell, Manny or Somebody & ASKS,"Did I Get Knocked Out?"....REED just Noticed this Last Night....The Closeup,Overhead Angle Caught ALL of this...

Why oh WHY Would Taylor have to ASK if he was KO'ed, if he HADN'T Lost Conciousness???...

honestly, your only argument here is that Taylor wasn't given a count. To say Taylor wasn't given the benefit of the doubt is akin to arguments that Castillo was denied a count and/or chance to continue against Corrales in the first fight. In both fights, the losing fighter was to the point where they couldn't even instinctively clinch, attempt to block punches, or do anything other than lay on the ropes and take flush head shots.

Taylor did that to an extent, and Smoger did let the fight go - until he was to the point where he was no longer reacting.

If the roles were reversed in the second round, it would've been criminal for Smoger or any other ref to take Taylor's title away from him at that point. It would've sparked similar debate to McCall-Lewis I.

So it's not even about who won, who lost and who was knocked down when. I say this, because you seem a wee bit bothered with who wound up in the L column, more so than the stoppage itself.

WTF?? I can't believe ANYONE is trying to shoe-horn controversy into Pavlik-Taylor. There was nothing controversial or premature about the stoppage. What's the deal, Tyler? Did you lose money betting on Taylor?

 And all of that happened BEFORE Pavlik went down...which completely misses the point.

He got up at TWO...and continued to have command of his faculties and try to avoid shots or clinch Taylor - and after TWENTY SECONDS was firing back.

You yourself cannot possibly believe that the fight should have been stopped when Pavlik fell the first time - as a result of Taylor's first series of punches and the initial KD.

    That's even more ludicrous.

I'm going to watch your reaction in future fights, and I expect you to call for a stoppage every time a fighter is hit clean with a combination and goes down.

I also think it's interesting that you said "throws" above and not LANDS...because I am positive Taylor did not land that many clean shots.

I think you are just pissed that Pavlik won, period.

    Peace.

That's part of his point (that Smoger "smothered" Taylor and didn't allow him to get up or punch - which is wrong too)...

But the bigger point Tyler has is that the fight should have been stopped in the second round since Pavlik took more punches than Taylor did.

That assumes that Taylor was in control of his faculties, dodging and ducking shots, parrying, and countering.

    Peace.

Any questioning of the stoppage is REEDiculous.

A few co-workerts saw the fight and initially two of the three thought the stoppage was premature (Taylor fans) UNTIL they saw the replay.

There's no way in hell there's any controversy regarding the stoppage. Like REED said, Taylor was out to the point when he had to ask if he'd been knocked out.

    "Like I said before"

Roy and Zab showed more effort to get up than Taylor. Smoger looked like he wanted to step in just as Pavlik landed the big uppercut, Taylor had his arms up and wasn't throwing anything back. In fact, Jermain's arms were up but he was out on his feet.

Smoger could have counted to 70...Jermain wasn't getting up.

Haha, good point. I forgot Tyler likes to gamble a bit. How much did you have on Taylor (referring to Tyler)? I know the general public was all over taylor in this fight.

That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the head snapping in one direction and then bouncing back in another. Three of those and the fight would've been stopped, even by Smoger.

Full sixty seconds? That's a godt damn lie, 17 seconds. He stood up after they asked him that and looked completely coherant.

They ask him does he know what happened, he says I got knocked out, CLEARLY knew what was going on.

Why did they ask him? STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE.

What does this have to do with 20 unanswered punches in the second round? Alot when you are not equal when refereeing.

    WRONG...

AFTER the Doctor Said,"Are U O.K., Jermain", Taylor Knodded his Head...THEN, Taylor Looks to HIS OWN Right & ASKS Somebody OFF CAMERA, "DID I GET KNOCKED OUT??"

Not Really Sure What BENEFIT U Get Out of Perpetual TROLLING, but @ LEAST Get your FACTS STRAIGHT...

REED is REALLY Starting to Wonder if U've even SEEN Pavlik-Taylor...

Pavlik got hit with 20 punches, didn't fire back at ALL. Getting hit with punches and doesn't have his arms up in defense, getting his head SNAPPED back..... DESPERATELY tried to hold on to Taylor's arm because he couldn't stand up, CLEARLY could have been stopped.

It really makes no consequence what you think my reasons are for stating facts, does it?

Taylor blocked a few punches before smoger stepped in, Pavlik DIDN'T have his hands up when Taylor was teeing off and Pavlik was falling down, you didn't watch the fight
