The tryouts in Houston are at Savannah's.. Hmm, I thought Jose had too many fights... but now they changed it from 10 max fights to 15, so I suppose he does qualify.. When I brought it up, they thoguht he had too many fights, plus was scheduled to fight on the Dawson undercard last saturday (but opponent didnt have medicals and fight scrapped), and again in November.
One more comment about Jose "Pitt Bull" Diaz.. If you noticed over the past 2 years a major physical maturation in Juan Diaz, he's grown into his "adult" body. I see this beginning to happen with Jose now. He's short like his brother and has high punch output like his brother.. Also battling weight issues like his brother (remember Juan started out at 140+ lbs). Jose uaually fights at 126+, but would be much better at 122, and everyone agrees. If he cuts his teeth at feather and then goes down to 122 for a youth belt or similar, he could make some noise.. Also, shares brother's lack of KO power... (and his Monica Seles like grunts) Note, he dominated the well travelled Phillip "bringin da" Payne.. .
