A more objective announcer still looking to please the brass would've said something like "Abraham tried to stand and trade with Miranda - and suffered a broken jaw, in addition to settling for a controversial decision. Eastman tried, and wound up suffering the first stoppage loss of his career." But when has Lampley ever attempted to pass as objective? When has a Countdown special ever attempted to present all of the facts?

Not only that, but Lampley's single sentence - no matter how untrue or misleading it may be - takes up less time, which in a 30-minute show, is ultimately the bottom line.

 

Well......I don't know if you've ever seen anything from Sky Sports- but their guys: Ian Darke, Glenn McCrory, etc...are usually a damn sight more objective.
