I don't know what would have been the outcome without the points taken, without the broken jaw, but the fight was highly controversial and should have had an instant rematch.

Miranda fucked off and took the Pavlik fight. He isn't in a position to demand anything. Abraham would fight him again in the morning, he said so. But I can't see it. Miranda has 2 defeats now. And he is finished at 160. Can't make it anymore, he's drained at the weight.

I´m not getting into this argument AGAIN, and Ortho is a bit too paranoid to the point somebody willl soon open a thread about Pro-Abraham sentiments, but Abraham wasn´t given five minutes after the punch that broke his jaw, which likely happened in round four, he was given time after Miranda fouled him with a blatant headbutt. If Miranda keeps his composure he would have probably won the bout, just like Danny Green a few years earlier. And for all the shady talk about the way Germany conducts business (and we can certainly argue favourably for a TKO stoppage win for Miranda) it were the actions of Miranda and Green, absolutely blatant and obvious, that got them into trouble in the first place.

Never going to happen. Sturm makes more money than Abraham, although Abraham is catching up. If Abraham shatters his glass chin, his value goes down. Sturm has never beaten a real middleweight convincingly, not the rematch with Castillejo, not Velazco. The writing is on the wall. Sturm vs. Sylvester is the best fight boxing fans can hope for.

Ok seriously I think Abrahms does deserve some props. he, like Kelly has shown heart. It took a lot to keep going against Miranda. I think it would be a better fight than people think. I mean Kelly isn't particularly fast... Abrahms could avoid a lot of shots. Also I see Abrahms jamming Kelly up inside. Definitely not an autimatic win for Pavlik. Abrahms would take a lot more than Taylor did and give it back as well.

I have to agree with Ortho's point, though not his sentiment. Basically both guys beat Miranda with no caveats. But this does not make Kelley a slouch. Basically there is a tendency now to give Pavlik more props than he deserves. Abrahms is a live dog and I would pick him to beat Taylor frankly.

Abraham wasn't able to do it nearly as consistently after the middle rounds.

Pavlik backed him up all night, every time, against the ropes and destroyed him.

So certainly that deserves to be recognized.
