Round by Round: Manny Pacquiao vs. Marco Antonio Barrera II

Pacman won round 2.

 

I've got MAB up 2-0 though the first round could go either way. MAB is doing a good job keeping Manny off balance with his jab and Manny is a bit short with his straight left.

It's also good that everytime Manny flurries, MAB lands the last shot.

They meet in the middle of the ring....Jab,jab,left to the body by Pacquiao, left landed. Jab,right hook by Pacquiao, right hand by Barrera, right to the body by Barrera, Pac jumps in but they clinch.

Right hand lead by BArrera, Jab,jab by Barrera Pacquiao jump in with a left missed, Left by Pacquiao lands, RIGHT HAND by Barrera backing Pacquiao, LEFT hand by Pacquiao, another..holding by Barrera.

Jab/right hand by BArrera, another right by Barrera....Jab,jab by Barrera, left hand by Pacquiao, Jab,jab by Pac, jabs by BArrera.

Round 3: Barrera...difficult rounds..to score.

So far Barrera looks a lot better than I thought he would. And pac not so good.

Another close round, but I still favored MAB. He's more active and is controlling the pace of the fight. Pac's straight left is getting through now, but they're not as close together. MAB landed a good right hand over the top and his jab is landing over Pac's right jab.

Pac should use the righthook more.

 

lederman is on point I got pacquaio up 3-0. he's the effective aggressor

 

HBO is down on MAB, but I've got him up 3-1. Manny won that round by being more aggressive and landing the straight left. He's loading up on that shot and MAB is only looking to slip, not counter.

If MAB sits on an a right uppercut, he'll catch Manny cold. Slight turn towards Manny to me.

Pac's subtly picking up the pressure by effectively cutting off the ring and not letting MAB escape and give angles.
