I never have. hell I't hard to see how he climbed up to #2 on most lists.

still, I just never understood how being exciting equalled being the best.

He is not even on Floyd's ball park on how good he is.

Floyd is still #1 and nobody is close :warning:

I respect Manny, but no way he is the best fighter in the world, IMO.

I'm not hating on Pacquiao, but let's be real he has been overrated like hell. So much that the hate towards Floyd put him at #1 by some.

    God I hope JMM/Pacquiao 2 gets made so I can have a field day.

Floyd toyed with Oscar. ONly think I critized Floyd is for not taking more chances. But he won easy!

I don't do p4p rankings, but I'm not sure how anyone couldn't have Pacquiao #1 if not #2

I'd like to know the criteria for this ranking system

I had Manny at 1 after Morales II and going forward based on the better comp he was facing. Floyd's 03-05 run was as bad or worse than Roy's worst days of HBO contract milking. Floyd had a good year last year and, since winning the Oscar lottery is acceptable no matter who does it, I say can't ask for much more than fighting Hatton (I love that fight). Based on fighting fringe Solis and ancient MAB last night, Manny has blown a whole competetive year and Floyd should clearly be seen as #1 going into the Hatton bout.

The only people who belived he was anywhere near P4P top-spot were those who followed all the Pac-Hype that Alabama_Man came out with, week after week.

So where did Bama go? I recall he was being stalked online....perhaps he's tied up in an abandoned shack in the forest getting his toenails pulled out by some psycho?

Right, and considering that they're both about 144 to 150 pounds when they step into the ring, Pacquiao doesn't even compare.

A lot of people in the media have tried to make a case for him. Between you not noticing that, or the fact that he's given more passes than arguably any other fighter today, no disrespect, but your head is stuck in the sand on this topic.

PAC isn't #1, but I agree, P4P rankings are pretty stupid to me as well. PAC is one of the best boxers in the world. His resume is a list of "Who's Who" of the boxing world. The guy has destroyed Icons of the sport. Is he overrated? Maybe to you, maybe not so much to me. I think he is enjoyed for his style and "balls to the wall" fighting. He entertains the masses and simply keeps on winning.

it is not hating simply cause I don't worship the guy. he is fun to watch and pretty damn good. But calling him overrated is not an insult. It's all about how you rat the guy to begin with.

to really consider him the best fighter in the world is fucking crazy. Let me know when he fights a guy not coming of a loss for starters.:cheer:

I don´t think it´s ridiculous at all to suggest Pacquiao has the most impressive resume in the last 3-4 years. Two stoppage wins over Morales, two blowout wins over Barrera, a draw with Marquez, a win over Larios. I think that holds up favourably to a SD over DLH, a close decision over Judah and dominant wins over Gatti and Baldomir. If Mayweather clearly defeats Hatton, he removes any doubt, but right now you can certainly make a case for Pacquiao.

at the highest, i had pac at #3. p4p rankings are kinda gay, but it doesnt take a genius to figure out who's better between floyd and pac.

i would pick marquez over pac if this rematch comes to fruition. a lot might disagree, but pac will soon begin to slow down if he already hasn't.

i won't be fooled by pac's win over an old ass barrera. that fight was won on speed and youth and barrera's inability to pull the trigger.

marquez is also past his peak in terms of speed and reflexes, but his skills are still superior.

If better means "fights more the way the pictures in boxing books show you to", then you are correct. Otherwise not

boring or not, floyd actually fights guys that are champions/title holders and dominates. as of late, pac likes to fight mexican hasbeens coming off a loss on the verge of retiring.

mayweather is an unbeaten 5 division champ. he rarely loses rounds. his skills are also vastly superior.

But didn't Packqiao defeat Morales, who lost 3 out of his last 4? Doesn't that count for something?

Floyd is now a 154lbs fighter, he hasn't proven he is the best of that weight class, he didn't even prove himself at 147. So how can he be the best of all if he isn't the best of his size?

Skill, meaning fighting according to technique books, is only one part of being a oxer. A small part

Huh? His upcoming fight is at 145, and he holds the World Welterweight Championship.
