There was some talk about him maybe being granted a boxing license in the U.S. Even if that's not the case i thought he would be fighting some higher calibre opponents in Asia or South America. I checked boxrec and saw that he fought in May, but against someone i haven't heard of. I don't even remember hearing about the fight before or after. What's the deal with the guy, anybody know?
He is fighting in December along with WBC featherweight champ Linares on Azteca channe. I forgot who their oponnets are.
Do you think he would ever agree to meet you behind your gym for some man-on-man action, given the fact that he's pretty much guaranteed to be crushed by your sweaty, muscular hands in 30 seconds?
how bout we stop disrespecting world class fighters for nothing. Shitting on Derrick Gainer for how he performed against Marquez...fine. Harping on guys lke Vasquez for quitting...bad Saying that Jameel McCline is the Angel Manfredy of this time...fine Saying Pacquiao is an amateur and lauding Lou Savarese...bad and so on...
I just heard Nate Campbell was arrested for some baby mama drama, dammit... The biggest threat to Juan Diaz is now locked up
Actually the biggest threat to Juan Diaz is back @ home counting his money from beating Barerra and single handily murdering the entire english language on ppv last Saturday night
Pug must have had a few tonight watching the Cowboys pull a great win out.:: And that is understandable him living in Texas.
Im sorry Stinger but I have to disagree with you. If Valero lived in Houston you would be loving him, how can you praise Chris Henry who hasnt fought ANYONE and then say that a guy that is a CHAMPION is pathetic? Not trying to stir stuff up but I think it is a legit question, bro.
Off topic? WTF - he is talking about Valero. This thread is about Valero, and he is talking about Valero - therefore it's completely on topic. Is it just me or is StingerKarl actually mad? Like properly insane? Like a few cookies short of a cookie jar etc? I happen to think Valero is one of the worst titleholders in the sport, but make no mistake, he would still demolish stinger-lusion in 30 seconds.
Valero pathetic? And Israel Vazquez is a quitter and doesn't belong in a ring, right? What about Pacquiao? Off topic nothing, for someone who promotes a talent in this sport like Diaz, the basura you spew outweighs it.
Valero is far from pathetic. Hes the real deal. Hopefully he can get a license because the sport needs young exciting warriors like Valero.
I dont understand why certain people here can say anything they want and when people reply THEY are the ones who get chastised or even worse suspended. Karl made a bold statement to which people replied not even in a disrespectful way they should have the ability to question it without threats of violence, without someone getting shut off about it.
Clarification Valero is a fighter that does not know the fundamentals is what I am saying. He does not know them as he has not had a trainer that knows them to teach them to him. He is a raw amateur, IMO. He would benefit from hiring Eddie Mustafa as his trainer, as Eddie has improved Chad Dawson by 50 percent in terms of fundamentals, IMO. Did you hear Eddie in the corner of the Mendoza fight: "Keep your chin down!" (My biggest criticism of Dawson and the first flaw I pointed out to everyone on here and on radio) "Don't bring your jab back low!" (My second biggest criticsm of Chad as I pointed out) and Eddie is a former ring great and good man as well. Edwin Valero is just not a good fighter right now, IMO. He can punch and has fast hands yes, but doing two things well and 15 things not well at all doesn't make you a good fighter in my book.
and thats all you had to say. honestly Karl when you make an opinionated comment such as the one in here can you honestly expect no one to respond back and ask why you feel that way? You don't need to shut it down just because expound upon it maybe some people here will respect you more for actually posting your boxing knowledge. To me that was a good post and I agree 100% about Valero (not that he is pathetic but that he is crude). Living away from the US where he was trained properly has hurt him. Thanks for your insight
Thanks, bro. I have said all that I can say about Valero, he just needs a trainer that can take him to boxing 101, and then he maybe will develop into a real good boxer/puncher. A lot of Valero's stuff he improvises himself I can tell, and is self-taught on some things. Some kids are thick and won't listen to instruction and are set to do things their way (Aaron Pryor was like that), maybe that's the case with him.
valero is a fierce fighter and would knock most of the guys out in his division. there's nothing pathetic about a guy who beatdown vincent mosquera en route to stopping him. say whatever you will about his competition, but it's hard not to be impressed by the fact that he stopped all of those guys and majority of them in less than a round. has anyone noticed that there hasn't been a fighter who has yet to call him out? yea, he can't fight in the US, but he's certainly available else where. plus, majority of the top talents at 130 are from latin america. i'm sure valero would travel to indonesia to fight and defend his title vs. chris john if the guy ever decides to step up.
Please; we are not going to equate a Hall of Famer and the greatest junior welterweight ever with Valero, ok? Let us keep this thread real, please.
He knocks everybody out with wrong punches or at least keeps his feet in wrong position when doing so. He is a scrub
