tua had a granite chin. peter doesnt. they're also different in size and i belive tua hit a bit harder. peter sucks.
it could've been a trip. that was also right at the bell in the 12th and did not count as a knockdown. tua took bombs from rahman and heavy jabs and crosses from lewis for 12 rounds. has tua ever been put on a queer street or close to being stopped?
Not as a pro but as an amatuer Felix Savon KTFO out of him in 20 seconds with a short left hook, Tua didnt see what hit him and was stumbling like a crackhead :: He has grown in more ways than one since then and has actually lost some weight and has looked better lately, if Jameel got a shot at Peter then Tua should, this would be a great fight imho
savon knocked a lot of guys out in amateurs. i remembered he stopped shannon briggs in 1 round. he knocked him down then hurt him badly again before the fight was stopped. he did the same to lamon brewster. tua can't knock out any top heavyweights. i think peter beats him easily. that's a sloppy fight between two fatties. ::
Tua is more deserving than McCline and has a chance, Peter is NOT a top heavyweight imho. He beat a faded Toney in the rematch and barely survived against Jameel, that is not enough for me to be convinced.
Isn't Tua supposed to be fighting Wlad next? I thought Wlad (or more specifically, Shelly Finkel) was forced to agree to that fight in order to satisfy a pending lawsuit from Cedric Kushner.
yea i've heard that too. that's another garbage fight. btw, is corrie sanders still active? wlad might as well avenge that loss too.
I heard that it was going to happen but it seems like all of that talk just stopped, I havent heard anything about that for a while now. I also think that Tua has a helluva better chance against Peter than this version of Wlad.
i would like to see maskaev beat peter and mccall beat gomez. mccall would knock maskaev out again and reclaim the heavyweight belt he once held!
it could just be a case of getting HBO to agree to the fight. They generally co-sign on all things Wlad, but every once in a while try to act as if they too have standards. couldn't disagree more.
Tua-Peter would be one fugly fight. Tua would be capable of winning, but would have to start as the underdog.
