Kirilov won the vacant IBF superflyweight title with a UD (116-112, 114-113, 114-113) over Navarro. Good close fight, right winner.

The main event is starting. I think I'll quickly regret my purchase.

I think Ibragimov takes an ugly decision.

It should be starting now. Holyfield is stalling in his locker room, working the pads with trainer Ronnie Shields. Once Holyfield proceeds to the ring, the event should commence.

They want to start, but Holyfield doesn´t want to come out, because he still wants to break a sweat.

Jimmy Lennon, Jr. is taking care of the English version of prefight introductions. Al Bernstein seems to think that Holyfield has a different demeanor today -- less affable than usual. The officials are all from the U.S.

    Referee: Raul Caiz
Judges:Ruben Garcia, Chuck Giampa, Tom Miller

Holyfield actually is getting a pretty good reception from the crowd in Moscow. It's taking a little longer than usual because there is a Russian ring announcer as well.

I'll try my best to do a RBR analysis.

Rd1: Not much action. Neither fighter appears to be too aggressive. Ibragimov has a spot of blood on his nose. I gave it to Holyfield, but it was definitely not decisive.

    10-9 Holyfield

Slow round one, Evander waiting to counter, Sultan going to the body well, both fighters pawing jabs. The showtime crew give the round to Holy, but I think Sultan edged it.

    Sultan 10 - 9

Rd2: Bernstein describes Ibragimov as pensive. Not a word you'll hear often during a boxing match. There's not as much holding as expected, mainly because both fighters are keeping it on the outside. I'm not sure why Ibragimov isn't applying more pressure. Ibragimov did land a few good shots to the body. I was about to give the round to him, but Holyfield landed a nice right hand at the end of the round. It appeared to hurt Sultan a bit.

    10-9 Holyfield / 20-18 Holyfield

Round had more action, Sultan starting to mix it up in the middle a bit more, throwing combos. Sultan looks considerably faster. Holy hit him with some hard counter punches at the end of the round.

    Sultan 20 - 18

Holy backing him up more this round holding the middle of the ring, Sultan throwing more, feinting, straight left from Sultan finding a home. Decent action this round.

    30 - 27 Sultan

Rd3: Still not a whole lot of action. Ibragimov has landed a couple of straight lefts through Holy's guard. Two lefts by Ibragimov did some damage with about :40 to go in the round. Ibragimov continues to do good body work. This was the first clear round IMO, and it goes to the champ.

    10-9 Ibragimov / 29-28 Holyfield

Sounds like me and the announcers have been more friendly to Holyfield with the scoring. Ibragimov is doing a lot better in the last 2 rounds.

Sultan still backing up, letting Holy initiate the exchanges. Both fighters jabbing alot, but most are falling short. Slow fight, not real exciting.

    Sultan 40 - 36

Rd4: Holyfield isn't doing much at all. Ibragimov isn't doing anything special, but Holyfield is so inactive that he'll take some of these rounds. I'm already predicting that Holyfield will claim the judging was wrong, and that he'll continue his quest to become Undisputed HW Champ again.

    10-9 Ibragimov / 38-38

    39-37 Ibragimov

WTF is Ibragimov waiting for, does he want to get robbed like Fres. He lands hard punches in every exchange, but dances around with Holyfield.
