    Doesn´t it?

Boxing ain´t dying, HBO/Showtime just need to showcase the fighters, not the washed-up account managers.

    Diaz vs. Diaz
    Vazquez vs. Marquez
    Pavlik vs. Taylor
    Margarito vs. Williams
    Miranda vs. Pavlik/Abraham
    Cotto vs. Judah
    etc.

    In comparison

    DLH/Mayweather
    Hopkins/Winky
    Pacquiao/Barrera II
    Ibragimov/Holyfield
    Tarver/Jones III
    etc.

I kind of agree, although there are exceptions...the likes of a barrera-mckinney which hopefully mosley-cotto will end up comparing with...the problem is that the accounts managers gobble up the budget...

There are some exceptions, but great observation and principle to be followed.

What the hell was wrong with Pac v Barrera II? It was a decent fight at it's worst. Fan's are greedy assholes.

That's one of the exceptions I referenced. Wasn't the MOST exciting of fights, but I didn't think it was a stinker at all...

Good technical, tactical match-ups by two fighters trying to outfox and out-think each other; with some bursts of exchanges.

I'm still astounded that people expected Barrera, at 130 and at his age and stage of his career, to fight like he did at 122 10 years ago...especially since everyone was CONVINCED that if he did so, he'd be KTFO'd. But they demanded he do it regardless.

I think Cotto-Mosley is an exception as well. Have to be careful with writing fighters off prematurely.

But overall, certainly putting in hungry young guns against each other more consistently is a big part of what boxing needs.

    peace.
