Just having some issues with the audio, but I thought you would enjoy this part tha is available now. C
tyson was the heavyweight champ and had a tremendous impact on the sport during his reign. hardly a waste. ricardo williams or bernard mays is more of a waste since they let the streets get to 'em.
Wow, I'm surprised nobody mentioned Tony Ayala Jr. Panchito was the product of excessive hype, but Andrew came correct in also mentioning Ricardo Williams, Jr.
AH, come on Carlos! I didn't say it like that. I started with "I'll take a recent example..." and it was edited out. You have to be careful about that, it sounds like I really think Panchito is the biggest waste ever. Not even close.
REED... I don't think much of Vanes. I've seen him once or twice prior to the Versus card...I forget which fight it was, but he got clipped and knocked down pretty hard on one of the telefutura cards either earlier this year or late last year. He got up and knocked the guy out, but he was fighting a bum and had no business on the floor in the first place. I don't know if it's a chin issue or a defense issue but he holds his head up like a Pez dispenser. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get clipped by a tough, strong journeyman like Escobedo got clipped.
unbelivable these guys. You give them all of the topics at least 10 minutes before they show and they come unprepared. :eeeek:
REED Didn't See the Fight U're Speaking of, but REED can Only Go By what he's Seen(1 Pro Fight TOTAL)... Vanes Looked VERY Solid Against Thompson, on Versus... He Had More of a TIGHTLY Tucked Chin (ala BHop & Cotto)& Didn't Look the Least Bit GUNSHY... There ISN'T a Positive Spin to Place on a Heavily HYPED Former Olympian Getting DROPPED by a BUM, but REED Liked what he Saw Out of Martirosyan...VERY Impressive Handspeed, Workrate & Punch Selection... & when Thompson Made a Dogfight Out of it, Vanes Didn't Panic...He Didn't DROP or STOP Thompson, but it was a Very SOLID Effort in REED's Opinion... Dude is a HUGE Jr. Middleweight... REED
I was about to say! I am astounded Ibeabuchi didn't come up. I also think of: David Tua Andrew Golota Riddick Bowe Ike Quartey (glad Andy caught it) Mark Breland Michael Moorer (did some, but coulda done much more) Peace.
I should have said that Vanes could get beaten by a strong journeyman and could end up with an early loss like Escobedo (who I don't think is very good BTW). Escobedo eats alot of punches and based on what I saw, Vanes does as well.
The cast should be rotated more (i.e. karl..in small doses great, but every show...)...new fightbeat voices
Well technically Vanes already got clipped if you're comparing him to Escobedo. Yes, Escobedo got dropped, but he got up and finished the fight, and lost to a credible prospect. I don't think much of either Vanes or Escobedo, to be honest, but if I had to invest stock into one of them... well, on the surface, Escobedo is better, but Vanes can most likely bunt his way to a title with Top Rank. Escobedo's undoing is that GPHM and their affiliates (in esco's case, Don Chargin) have no clue how to build or protect a prospect.
