Prior to Peter-McCline, REED Gave Maskaev NO Chance of Winning...Now, he's Obviously Got a PUNCHER's Chance... REED
King has to be losing his damn mind to stage Jones-Tito and Peter-Maskaev at the Garden two weeks apart. Peter-Maskaev is destined for failure at it is; to have it follow Jones-Trinidad all but puts the final nails in the coffin.
I'm actually looking more and more forward to Trinidad/Jones as the fight approaches. Don't know why, maybe because of who they are and what they've done. The fight obviously is about 6-7 years past its sell by date but I still have an interest. Would like to see some flashes of the old Jones and Trinidad.
yep... except HBO would most likely reject it. Incase nobody's noticed, unless your last name is Klitschko, Heavyweights need not apply at HBO these days. That's why every other heavyweight fight winds up on Showtime (or not televised at all in the states) - they're picking up HBO's leftovers.
agREED. I like Oleg's chances here. He certainly hits as hard or harder than McCline who I never thought was that big a puncher.
DeCline is similar to Slop Slop,in that they both have the power to fuck their opponants up at any given moment with a shot. But yet both fail to capitalize on it and both end up losing in the end::
For good reason. Keep them smaller guys on the big screen. The heavyweights don't deserve tv time right now they suck.
