Of course they already fought and Zab won, but my sources tell me that Witter took that fight on short notice and was relatively green in terms of experience at the time.

Zab is not as confident as he was then and Witter may be a much improved fighter now.

    So who wins at 147?

Meh, I don't think that Witter's quite as good as a prime Baldomir, though.

Zab looked like he's slipping big time in his last fight. I'd probably pick Witter at this point.

Witter wins this easily. He would liquidate Zab at this stage.

    Hopefully it happens.

so in a present tense, it's LIQUIDATE, and LIQUIDIZED in a past tense or is it LIQUIDATED?

the only thing that makes me hesitant to pick Witter outright is the fact that he's never before fought @ 147.

Take away his fight w/ Collazo, and on paper, I'd easily pick Hatton to steamroll through today's version of Zab. But considering how shitty he looked in his ONE fight 7 lb. north? I'd probably still pick Hatton, but not by knockout, and with nowhere near the certainity than had he never left 140.

Witter's been at 140 his whole career, and rarely talks about moving up, even though he easily enters another tax bracket with a fight against anyone from at least 1-5. Maybe none of it matters as Zab isn't a very big welterweight - but for the moment he can still punch and still has scoreboard on Witter.

In the end I'd probably pick Witter by decision.

    Zab UD

Witter has too many flashbacks to mount an attack.

witter looks like a lightweight. judah is clearly in decline, but still fast enough to beat a potshotter like witter. judah is also bigger and hits harder.

well, you could say witter is going to LIQUIDATE him. but then you could also say witter is going to LIQUIDIZE him.

'he's been liquidized' sounds better than 'he's been liquidated' as if he was some sort of stock/bond investment.

The horse is right. Liquidate and liquidize are two different words.
