Jermain trains up in the poconos and i live there. I was able to watch him train many times and talk to him emanuel, all kronk gym fighters and his whole entourage. All them were really nice people and i went to the fight live and me n my friends were one of the few ppl rooting for him. Thats when the loss's feel the worst
If Fraud fouls and bitches his way to yet another close victory filled with running, back-twisting, palming/pushing of the head, forearms to the throat and elbow flicks, then recieves a plethora of desperate accolades for another cowardly and disgraceful performance, along with Cotto somehow emerging victorious over Mosely,.. this will be an even worse year than 2005 .
Huh? Just because I don't think the Klitschko brothers are very good doesn't mean I hate all white fighters.
Watson - Eubank 2 I remember watching this in the UK as a 10 year old and thinking that the quiet one, who we never saw making loads of noise on TV and seemed, unlike Eubank and Benn, like a genuinely nice guy, was finally going to win. Then, well...
Damn i couldn't stop lauging at that shit. Maussa is fighting on the Cotto-Mosley U/C i can't wait to see him fight again.
Lewis/ Tyson-Very hard for me to watch Mike take a beating like that. Will likely never watch that fight again. Douglas/ tyson Roy/Tarver 2. Well, I was more upset than hurt b/c Roy was pretty much lacing Tarver before the KO. Mosley/Forrest 1
hatton/castillo; hatton is just a strong hack and younger and faster than castillo; castillo would've beateb tszyu before hatton did if corrales hadn't cheated. hatton would still be a british bum.
IF shit had wings it would fly! Highly unlikely that Castillo would've beaten Tszyu at 140, no less and Castillo WAS stopped by Corrales, Floyd's son.
I was kind of rooting for both, but I had so much respect and admiration for Arguello when he fell against Aaron Pryor the first time it hurt to see.
The one that sticks out the most (for me) was Pipino Cuevas vs Tommy Hearns. At the time, Hearns was relatively unknown, and Cuevas was already established as this monster KO artist, and him being boner and all, well, I though FOR SURE my man Cuevas was gonna walk through Hearns. Boy, was I wrong...that was painful on my part to watch. ::
Wilfredo Gomez KOing Carlos Zarate was also painful... ...but I'm glad Salvador Sanchez was there to avenge that particular Zarate loss. :cheer:
That's a big one for me....Arguello is one of my top all-time favorites; and such a sportsman inside and outside of the ring. I was really rooting for him to make it 4. Peace.
Especially the way it happened.... I like what Gomez did in the ring but man, he could be a dirty bastard.
Corrales beat Castillo (whose cheating in the rematch was a lot worse than Chico's cheating) one month before Hatton beat Tszyu. The fight wasn't gonna happen.
Leonard vs Camach and Holyfield vs Toney. Just knowing that Ray and Evander would have torn those asses up in their primes.
Inspired by the young Mike Tyson thread. Watchin Tyson get his ass whupped by Lewis and Williams was painful viewing.
