tarver vs. green is actually an interesting fight. green has a huge fan base in his country and both fighters can punch.

forrest vs picklerillo is a garbage fight between two old ass injury prone fighters.

donaire is a midget no one gives a shit about, especially in Conn.

Did you see Tarver's last two fights? :dunno:

Donaire is the best fighter on the card and I thought Vernon's scrap with Baldomir was pretty entertaining. It was the first time in awhile I saw him throwing punches with the intent to hurt.

donaire might be the best fighter on the card, but do you honestly think he's selling tickets for this card? in connecticut no less?

forrest has zero fan base and piccirillo is from italia.

Two guys known for upsetting fighters much better fighters than themselves and stink out the joint against everyone else.

I wish both were never born.

I don't care what the attendance will be...I won't be there anyway. I'm talking about the watchability of the fights, Cupet (Cupey's puppet).

Sad that I'm even considering instead ordering the Chavez JR.-Rey Sanchez PPV over watching this for free.

 @ the press release. "What a way to end the year." It's as if they left out a word, it should really read "What a :shit: way to end the year."

Green doesnt have a huge fan base here, he was only popular because people wanted to see him KO Mundine. Once Mundine humiliated him, he hasnt been heard from since and I doubt any casual fan could care less.

btw, what's up w/ all the aussie fighters and their hot wives?

i saw jeff fenech when he was here during Tyson-McBride. he was with some young blonde who looked like she was in her early 20s.

sam soliman's wife was also blonde and hot when she was briefly shown on the conteder show.

and whether picirrillo/forrest is garbage or not, i'm still glad they're showing it. i'd rather watch 3 fights than 2 any day.

People want to see Tarver KO'd and don't have much faith Green is the guy to do it.

Wlad-Tarver would get more acceptance.

Green definitely has a good chance to KO Tarver. I think its likely he does.

Incorrect. Boxing has no profile over here which is why he does not get any news time. Casual fans only come out for the 'superfights' here which is why Green - Mundine got so much press.

Boxing fans still follow Green but NO boxer has a huge following here. Not by comparison with any of the major sports.

Mundine does NOT have a huge following. He gets the most airplay on TV due to both his mouth and the fact that he was a popular rugby player first.

Don't fool yourself. Just because people know his name doesn't mean he has a following. Just means non-boxing fans are aware of him.

Honestly, I can't remember all that well as I was pretty young when he was successful. He was well known but not in the way an Aussie Rules footballer or cricketer would be.

This is the point I'm making. Boxing fans know these guys but outside of that, basically no one else. Boxing is not a well covered sport in Australia.
