So when some Orthodox Jews refuse to live in Israel because they believe that only the Messiah can lead them back, they don't believe that they are in exile? Or when Jews for centuries said "next year in Jerusalem" they didn't believe that they were in exile? The Jews who "returned" to Israel from all over the globe didn't have to return because they were really there and just imagined that they were in Europe, Africa, N. America, S.
