Probably. Someone with ADD and narcoloepsy could do a reasonably accurate punchstat count on this one.
Holyfield might indeed win the bout with his activity (:: ) but also he is a very slow and easy target and I think Briggs' power (the two punches he throws per round are hard ones) might spell trouble for him
i can imagine briggs corner...this is it shannnon throw everything you have...give it your all...leave it all in the ring! it's win or die throw everything!! "all four???????" shannon sayz
I don't know, Briggs' only real advantage in this fight is his size. I'd even argue that Holy hits harder, and he's damn sure gonna hurt Briggs far more than the other way around.
Ai YI YI....I can't think of a more unwatchable fight! Two painfully slow hasbeens. Holy by decision.
Holy UD .... Had he fought Briggs , he would have won a belt. This is the fuckin reason why this guy won't retire .... If these other heavy weights were what they are supposed to be , Holy would have no other choice but to have retired years ago before he was even banned.
not true. Evander wouldn't retire even if the current fighters had the talent of Ali, Holmes, Foreman, Liston, Lewis, Louis combined. He's just a stubborn old fart that wont go away....
He would have been beat into retirement. When you have guys like Briggs walking around with belts , that gives Holy hope that he could get a belt again. In fact its more then hope , it is in fact a most the likely thing that would have happened had they fought.
What about when James Toney ate his way into heavyweight and beat Holy to the point that his corner had to rescue him?
But all of that moves away from the point that Holy won't quit until he's UNDISPUTED Champ. Briggs is no longer a titlist, so he's completely irrelevant to that particular conversation.
This matchup is kind of like matching up the Aletschgletscher with the Gornergletscher. The Aletschgletscher is bigger, but you never know.
I see Holyfield out working him for several rounds, then either from a punch or a head butt, Briggs develops a grapefruit lump on his head and we go to the scorecards with Holyfield winning. Wait that was Rahman.
