GRIDIRON GANG - 8.5/10 - I really didn't want to watch this, but when people at work put it on I just got drawn in and it was a very good movie. It was just a really good drama and if anything I felt the football scenes detracted from the movie because I was so much enjoying just the dialogue and the plot of it.

Here are the last five movies I've watched (not including pornos), and my thoughts on them:

• Olga's House of Shame: Extremely awesome.
• Wanda the Sadistic Hypnotist: Awesome.
• Scream, Blacula, Scream: The original was better.
• Happiness: Very good, but slow and too long.
• Multiple Maniacs: Very awesome.

 

I saw "The Kingdom" the other night. I was very surprised.

For some reason, any time I saw the trailer to this, Syriana kept on popping into my head. I watched Syriana thinking that there would be some very intense scenes. Instead, I got crap.

The other night, I was in the mood to go to the movies, but there was nothing good out, so I settled with The Kingdom.

There was an intense scene early in the movie which was ruined due to projection failure. So there was about ten seconds blacked out and about two minutes of silence. The crowd was thrilled, because I decided to do sound effects for everyone.

I was wrong. I thought the movie was great. Maybe it was because of the low expectations, but I recommend it.

You should demand refund or ask for a free pass.

Anyway, it's a movie with nonstop intense even at times brutal action, the real hero in the movie is not Jamie Foxx, it's that Saudi cop who took shit from both the FBI team and the Saudi national guard.

 

I can't wait for AVP requiem!

 

I really liked this movie. IT was a little different than what I expected. It got better as it developed. Good performance by Jackie Earle Haley who played that bad ass kid in the original "Bad News Bears" :cheer:

 

yeah, that was a very good movie.

 

Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer: 5/10 better than the 1st one but that ain't saying much......





1408: 6.5/10 Cusack plays a book author who likes writing about ghost hunted mansion/house/hotels etc..and exposing them as bullshit..until he check-in into room 1408 of the dolphin hotel..was expecting alot better...:dunno:..saw it a few days ago and i have already forgot the ending..:doh:

 

Ditto that! Nothing else comes close to this. It's the Mosley-Cotto of movies. I've already seen the trailer about 10 times.

 

First of all let me say I'm a huge fan of Rodriguez and Tarantino. I've been waiting a while to see these flicks.

I thought Planet Terror had the most action overall even though I'm not big on zombie flicks.

But I justl liked Death Proof better. Some people knock it because of the down time in action and too much dialogue. However I always enjoy QT's dialogue in his movies.

The car chase scene at the end was fucking awesome. The soundtrack for both movies was good as always.

The lapdance from Vanessa Ferlitto was damn good too.:bears:

 

Very good little flick, and I loved the scene were Kate Winslet gets fucked good in the basement.

Too bad there was no lesbo Kate Winslet/Jennifer Connelly scene.

30 Days of Night: 7.5/10 A group of vampires attack an isolated Alaskan town..the sun won't rise for 30 days, and all electricity/communication with the outside world has been cut off by the vampires....only Josh Hartnett can help them...:warning:I was a bit dissapointed i thought the whole town would survive for a few days but most are wiped out early on...and it's only a few survivers jumping around from house to house using the heavy snow as cover to move around..

 

Gone Baby Gone: Very good movie. From the same maker of Mystic River. This isnt quite as good as Mystic River, but its definitely worth seeing none the less. 8/10

 

The Kingdom was shit! I was so disappointed in it. Syriana is a MUCH better movie!

 

you mean the same producer or screen writer? i thought ben affleck directed this movie.

 

AMERICAN PSYCHO - 3/10 - Just a terrible movie. I don't get why so many people thought this was good. It was not only dumb but pointless, and far fetched. Even though I would never say this kind of thing makes shitty movies worth watching, the 3 some scene was the only part worth seeing. Absolutely horrible movie.
Rewatchability - 0/5 - I wouldn't sit through this again if it was the deciding factor of getting laid on a first date, and I don't get laid very often.
Advice - Simple. Steer clear and don't listen to your retarded friends who tell you it's good.

I am once again afraid to see Gone Baby Gone because of the Boston accent. :dunno:

 

honestly, I had a harder time understanding some people in this movie than in Eastern Promises.

 

Gatti, you should check out The Mist, a movie based on Stephen King's novel which will come out on Nov. 21.

 

When are people gonna learn that Josh Hartnett sucks balls. Yeah, the movie was number one at the box office this weekend, but thats only cause it's a vampire movie close to halloween. Also, the special effects looked pretty decent in the movie. Too bad the acting wasn't.

 

There is this baldie vampire, every time when he opens his mouth and tries to look scary, actually it turns out to be very funny.

 

I liked Gone Baby Gone a lot.

 

Transformers: 3/10 when it first came out in theaters i watch part of it on the Internet..didn't like it much, turn it off halfway. It just came out on DVD watched it again..and turn it off 30 minutes before the end...

 

The Kingdom...a bit dumb but its a decent action picture, well directed
