Prime 1996 Golota vs Prime 345 B.C Louis Who wins this matchup? A lot of Golota bashers here so i expect a tad of a bias but anyway tell me how you see it?
? You know what's funny? Louis prided himself on fighting BUMS and this day it adds to his legacy. So how can a matchup with somebody as talented as Golota be funny? Golota is arguablly the most skilled and talented white heavyweight EVER. So don't even try and convince me it's a mismatch
Considering how tough fights Louis had with the like of Arturo Godoy, who would hardly be a heavyweight these days, it is far from a mismatch
Good point, but though Louis-Godoy I was a sloppy fight, it was only an "SD" because of one inept judge. Consensus was 10-5 to 11-4 for Louis. Peace.
I'd go with Golota. The guy is 6'4" and unlike most of his peers (size-wise) has skills and coordination. And something other than a jab and a right hand. Also, Golota's defense is hugely over-looked (head movement, waiste movement, etc.). He went to war with Bowe, but in his best performances, he wasn't easy for his opponents to hit.
a korean :: you got me there:bears: but it was on a cut so no shame in that, plus where is that korean now? Sure he probablly went on to be a legend in ping pong but pro boxing? :nono: Golota would have murdered him in a pro fight, i'm assuming that's why he never turned pro. He's probablly hinding in a payback is a bitch boxing protection program, competing in some korean underground ping pong tournaments under some hillarious alias which i can't think of right now ::
exactly Golota's defense is overlooked because of his recent fights.Keep in mind that Golota's been past his best for years. When he fought Bowe the first time in particular he was at his peak. He was 28 and his defense was great for a heavyweight. He had incredible foot movement and his head movement was a thing of beauty. Go watch Bowe Golota I and watch how many shots Bowe misses with thanks to Andrew's headmovement. Watch the end of round 5. Bowe throws around 10 shots at Golota off the ropes and Golota ducks them all. Prime Golota had great defense no doubt about it.
There's a strong possibility that Louis catch him early, if he doesn't, it could be a real tough fight that I could see Golota winning.
I can see Golota based on styles... but based on their careers one guy is known for winning and the other is known for losing. Give me the winner.
Golota would be winning until Louis times him and starts hitting him. Andrew would have to finish him off early. I can see him dropping Louis and befuddling him at times, but not ending it. When Louis times him and starts unleashing vicious uppercuts and crosses Golota would get stopped. Louis KO 9
Golota tends to freeze against big punchers, or just choke in general. If he had some success, he'd find a way to fuck it up. Louis wins against the biggest choker in recent boxing history.
