Looks like a good matchup.

 

I liked Kessler in the 1st round

Better jab and his jab is coming in over Joe's right. Joe's already reaching, Kessler's wisely taking a half step back and countering

That was also calzaghe's round, he simply outlanded kessler. Kessler landed a couple of decent right hands, but that's it.

Kessler is getting very close on a short right hand when Joe misses and lunges in with his hands down. On the flipside, Kessler is wise open for a counter right hook because he backs up head high.

They meet in the middle of the ring...they trade jabs, straight left lands for Calzaghe...KESSLER down BUT IT was a SLIP...

Left hand by Calzaghe missed, right hand by Kessler partially landed. Jab/right hand by Kessler, Right/left by Calzaghe, Jab/left by Calzaghe, jab/left hand by Calzaghe, Kessler backing off into the ropes, right hand by Kessler. Jab/left hand by Calzaghe NOT MUCH from Calzaghe landing...clean.

Calzaghe playing around, droping his hands and signally towards his left hand, Jab,jab by Calzaghe. LEFT HAND by Calzaghe, pushing Kessler back, another left hand, right hook by Calzaghe, left hand by Calzaghe, Right hand by Kessler, but Calzaghe keeps coming, left hoook by Kessler.Jab/left hand by Calzaghe, HARD right hand by Kessler, partially blocked by Calzaghe.

A couple of those left hands stung kessler.

Kessler is starting to look a bit less confident imo, but Calzaghe not.

 

Calzaghe could have had the KD. There was a punch.

 

Rd 4 is clean Kessler's, the uppercuts are huge for Kessler

They meet in the middle of the ring.....Calzaghe comes out feinting and jabbing to teh body. Kessler eating those feints up, jab,jab by Calzaghe. Jab/right by Kessler, left hand by Calzaghe, right hand by Kessler Calzaghe stun a bit but keeps coming forwards with jab/left hand. Jab,jab by Calzaghe, uppercut by Kessler, Jab,jab by Kessler trying to jump on Calzaghe.

Jab/right hand by Kessler, Jab,jab,right hand by Kessler, Jab,jab by Calzaghe, Jab,jab by Kessler, upperuct by Kessler again. Left hook by Kessler, Calzaghe getting in, but not being able to throw anything.

Good round for Kessler. I see Joe fighting to keep Kessler off him more than hurting Mikkel.

Good uppercuts by Kessler in this round.

Did you guys catch the slo-mo replays of Kessler catching Joe as he's coming in?

Good fight.

Joe is in it and Kessler is open if he continues to step to him and flurry.

 

I think that was the first round Kessler won, he timed and countered calzaghe well, and landed some nice uppercuts.

Round 5: Kessler...close :dunno: Calzaghe probably landed more punches, but Kessler got hit with the hard stuff..
