CARDIFF--I felt like I was walking into the lion’s den—no make that the Welsh Dragon’s den Sunday morning at Millennium Stadium. I heard 50,000 voices, about 90 percent very unfriendly and a small sprinkling of guys waving my red and white Danish flag. <!-- m -->http://www.fightbeat.com/news_details.php?NW=20697
Completely outclassed? Please... Tito was totally outclassed against Wright, Kessler landed the harder shots and Calzaghe landed more shots. It was a close clear fight IMO. Kessler will be back, he should perfect his game with another southpaw to prepare for a rematch against Calzaghe. Bute would be a good oponent, pretty fast and tricky but not as active as Joe, I think he'd beat him.
Lets not be absolute here. It was a very competitive fight. Kessler was in no way outclassed. Just beat. He was never down, wobbled, and his face was not a mess. Its not like 116-112 is a blowout or something, especially when it is in Wales.
Tito's my favourite fighter but you're right, THAT is an outclassed fighter. Kessler landed more in one round against Calzaghe than Tito landed in both of his fights against Hopkins and Wright...
No one was outclassed last night. It was a competitive fight fought at a very high level which Calzaghe clearly won. I had it 7-4-1 and can clearly see 7-5. 8-4 is fine as well as some rounds were close...but even that to me isn't an "outclassing." Almost all of the rounds were quite competitive. That's a nice letter by Kessler, though if he says he has no excuses, then he shouldn't give any. I'd love to see a rematch....why not? Peace.
kessler was NOT out-classed . he landed plenty of hard shots, and stunned slappy more than a couple of times.
NO HE WASN'T He was beaten in a close fight by a better more-experienced man. Tito vs Hopkins...now thats a complete outclassing.:nono: :nono:
