That's your quote in the prediction thread. As usual you were completely wrong. Calzaghe won fair and square, quite simply he turned out to be a better fighter than Kessler. And no it was not via stink or via ref corroboration as you suggested, in fact the ref did Kessler more favours than Joe by stupidly rescuing him when he was hurt.

And in regards to your other bullshit thread, Kessler was more hurt than Calzaghe in that fight, to the head and body, and even admitted such afterwards.

So admit that Joe is in fact, not overrated, and beat Kessler fair and square.

i admit that he's better than i thought. and that in Kessler, he's now beaten a very good fighter.

i also have to say that his chin is much better than i expected. not only was he not seriously hurt by any of the dozens of clean and powerful counters that Kessler landed, but his work-rate wasn't affected either. he didn't go into a shell like i expected him to.

i thought he'd pussy out the way Hopkins did against Taylor. but he didn't.

I think the glove size was responsible for Double's incorrect prediction.
If they used "the right gloves", Kessler would've won.
    Sincerely yours,

I'm just trying to help you, by typing your response for you....:dunno:
Aren't you glad that someone took time and effort to type your thoughts for you?
I mean, if it wasn't for me, you'd have to type that whole diatribe about glove size yourself! Give some credit, where credit is due!

    Fair enough :bears:

I've been saying for a long time that Calzaghe's chin and physical strength are highly underrated.

Personally, I don't even find calzaghe that likeable, not as much as say hatton, or pavlik, or mosley or pacman etc etc

But the fact is, he is a fucking good fighter, one of the best in boxing, this simply can't be denied.

You are classic Double, make no misake about it, classic as the Chevy was. You get em wrong with a consistency that is admirable in its precision, admirable indeed. Some of us pick the wrong guy on occasion but you and Kauli? It is an art. Dym a pimpel is just there to remind us, but we all know a classic when we see one.

When was your last correct prediction?

go fck yerself you lttle faggot bitch. anyone who pretends that glove size is a non-issue is just fking stupid.

i'm still working on my explanation as to why little ferries like you object to discussions involving things like glove size, so i can't expand on it yet. but i'm pretty sure it has something to do with the penchant that you and people like you have for ignoring facts, closing your eyes, and sucking on nuts.

uh, let's see. i picked Pacquiao over Barrera. i understand some dumb-fucks around here picked MAB. isn't that hilarious? imagine being that fucking stupid?

also, i picked Pavlik to beat Taylor.

what you and many of the other pricks on this site don't realize is that i get a lot of picks correct. i just don't try to pretend it means anything, nor do i take any pride in it.

now fk off and go peel the plankton off your wife's vagina.

Keep it clean, all of you, and stop the flaming/trolling.

Double did what was asked of him on this thread.

This thread was CREATED to be borderline smacktalk already.

So knock it off...the instigators and the respondents.

I'm curious to know who double L (and others) would consider as having a greater boxing legacy where strictly in the ring accomplishments are concerned: Calzaghe or Delahoya

I will say that Oscar never CONVINCINGLY beat a fighter as good as Kessler. Quartey was arguably better than Kessler, but Oscar's win wasnt convincing, and he never granted Ike a rematch. Nor Whitaker. And no, his win over a slipping, roided up Vargas doesnt compare to beating Kessler the way Joe did.

I would go with Oscar. The guy fought everyone... and when you do that, you're allowed to lose some. Oscar beat a few Kessler level fighters (although probably none as convincingly as Joe beat Mikkel)

    Eh, I guess.

I'll say this... if Oscar De La Hoya could trade places with Joe Calzaghe, he would have easily got the decision against Trinidad.

Oscar had the Tito fight won, then choked!

Joe knows how to stay in command of a fight, a trait Oscar never possesed against quality fighters.

I'm no Oscar defender. I agree with you. He just fought SO many more quality fighters... but Joe was the better fighter. Oscar just has a better resume.

    you didnt answer my question.

mayweather was small and past his peak weight. hopkins was 40 years old and oscar still lost with a dubious body shot.

calzaghe beat a very good unbeaten fighter who's in his prime.

i dont care if oscar moves up to 200 and fights klitschko. he would lose regardless.

breakdown oscar's resume, he's not even a great fighter, but more of a great opportunist and businessman.

No but that's irrelevant, because Oscar lost to them.

Oscar has never CONVINCINGLY beaten a prime fighter the level of Kessler.

uh, i can't recall ODH ever getting hit with as many hard shots as Sloppy did either.

what's amazing is that in terms of gates and TV appearances Sloppy "should" be every bit as rich as ODH but he's probably not since Warren stole all his money.
