Juan Coggi-Eder Gonzalez was disgusting. The referee stopping the count so Luis Krasniqi could get up against Lamon Brewster was bad. It was also bad when the corners of Arturo Gatti and Arthur Abraham were allowed to work on the cuts in the middle of the round in their fights with Joe Hutchinson and Edison Miranda. Still, that was nothing compared to Coggi-Gonzalez I.
what happened there ???? In the old time, I actually read that in a fight ( I think Ad Wolfgast was involved in it ), there was a double kd an it seemed both wouldn't beat the count but the ref pulled up one of the boxer and declared him the winnner. That I have actually seen, Brewster-Krasniqui is the worst.
Reid-Ottke is an obvious one, never saw the fight but nearly anyone that did say that the ref warned Reid for hitting Ottke in the face:doh:
yeah, that was terrible. Reid got harrassed to death during the fight while hardly committing any infractions, then robbed come scorecard time.
That was Ad Wolgast against Mexican Joe Rivers. The ref was Jack Welch. Here's an article about the first Coggi-Gonzalez fight. http://www.maxboxing.com/Groves/Groves121906.asp
Groves' article is too long. Eder Gonzalez vs Juan Coggi I needs to be seen to be believed. And even then it's hard to believe.
Wait one second. Home cooking? Michalczewski is Polish Rocchigiani is German. Fight was in Germany. Rocchigiani got dq'ed for hitting on the break. Now whether Dariusz acted or not fact remains he was clearly fouled therefore Rocchighiani was rightfully dq'ed.
Ottke v Reid was bad, I had Larsen beating Ottke as well, and some of the ottke v brewer & tate fights/rematches might might have gone either way as I remember it...
I hope everyone has seen this. DM's acting at the end is honestly one of the most shameful things I've ever seen a human do.
Sloppy/Mitchell and Sloppy/Manfredo were bad - not that the outcomes would've changed necessarily. Also, Hatton/Tszyu is a good example of corrupt refereeing.
