This thread is reserved for facts. There can be no subjectivity here. No opinions. No hate. No love. Just facts!

FACTS ONLY BELOW (if you're not sure whether or not what you have to say is a fact, then save it - it probably is NOT):

Moderators, I'm looking to you for help in keeping this a fact-only, opinion-free zone.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    ODH beat Quartey and Whitaker

PBF has faced one natural 147 pounder at 147, and one at 154. Other than that, all of his fights have been against junior welter-weights and below.

Joe beat Lacy after nearly 10 years of fighting non-descript competition.

Hatton holds a lot. And I mean a lot.

RJJ has more fans now than when he was a shameless ducker. Most people were glad to see him be knocked out and are now able to enjoy his fights more.

Demarcus Corley serious hurt PBF twice in their fight.

I'd be scared for PBF if he faced either Cintron or Margarito in a matchup involving 8 oz gloves.

    come on man.

there's facts. there's opinions. and then there's wrong. this is wrong. and therefore NOT a fact. and therefore does not belong in this thread.

if you want to start your own thread entitled, "things I like to say that aren't true," then please - have at it. but let's keep this joint facts only. you dig?

maybe. it's either true or it's not. so in that respect, it's fact-based. i don't have the data to prove it, so it's conjecture on my part.

but my guess was that most people would agree. but fair enough.

no he didn't. Sly "thought" he did - but in reality, it can be nothing other than a fact when I say that I'd be scared for PBF if he faced Cintron or Margarito with 8 oz gloves. How is that not a fact?

i'm saying, right now, that I'd be scared for PBF. how is that not a fact?

It's only a fact if it's true and you can prove it. When you admit that you don't know if it's true or not and that it is a CONJECTURE on your part...then it can't possibly be a fact. If you THINK it's true, but you can't prove it...then it's your opinion.

fact is that i saw oscar lose 8 rounds vs. quartey and somehow got the decision.

fact, most people believe that his fights vs. quartey and whitaker were indeed controversial.

another fact, i saw oscar lose 8 rounds vs. sturm and somehow got another dubious decision.

if you want to go by facts, you might as well say that lewis vs. holyfield I and whitaker-chavez were even fights.

i know. i agree with you.

well, here's a fact regarding RJJ:

RJJ was NOT knocked out in his last two fights. and it's debatable whether Hanshaw's credentials were every bit as legitimate as Lacy's were going into the Calzaghe fight.

indeed. through heart and determination. watch Trinidad pound his chest between rounds as he chases the golden boy out of the ring.

Not really...at least as that statement is concerned.

Double said he'd "be scared for PBF if he faced either Cintron or Margarito in a matchup involving 8 oz gloves". If Double really would be scared (and only he would know) for PBF in that scenario...then it IS a fact that he would be scared.

Now if Double said something like "PBF would get KOed if he faced either Cintron or Margarito in a matchup involving 8 oz gloves"...then that would be his opinion and not a fact.

Felix Trinidad has beaten one guy who was ranked in the top 10 p4p among boxing publications in his career, in controversial fashion.

Roy Jones has beaten one, in dominating fashion.

Floyd Mayweather has beaten one, in dominating fashion.

Ricky Hatton has beaten one, in ugly fashion but made him quit.

James Toney has beaten one, in a come from behind KO.

Manny Pacquiao has beaten two, one dominating and the other in a great competitive bout.

Marco Antono Barrera has beaten two, in competitive but still clear decisions, one fight being considerably closer than the other.

interesting! see. now this is an illuminating post. however, i must take issue with the statement that Hatton won in ugly fashion, that Mayweather won in dominating fashion, and that RJJ too won in dominating fashion. please. facts only.

Well then your whole thread is a steaming pile of meaningless shit.

    Some more "facts" for you:

I'd be worried for Oscar if he faced Mosley again
I'd be worried for Oscar if he was to face Floyd again
I'd be worried for Evander if he doesn't retire
    etc...

We can now list 100 so called "facts" that are our own worries.

    You're hopeless...

I agree that there are some fabulous strokes of opinion in this thread, but for some reason the ones people are taking issue with, are for the most part things that are "fact." as broadwayjoe mentioned.

Fact: Marvin Hagler drastically altered his own style from 1982-1987

Fact: Salvador Sanchez struggled with pure boxers

Fact: Roy Jones, Oscar De La Hoya, Felix Trinidad, and nearly every other "superstar" in recent memory, besides Kostya Tszyu, are all bad sore losers.

    Fact: ....

Andre Dirrell is hard to watch:lol:

You mean the descriptions of how all the fights went, or just those 3 in general? I don't see anything wrong with the descriptions of those particular fights.
