it was supposed to happen in 2004, when Tito was coming back. Shane instead decided to fully unify 154 against Wright... we all know the rest.

Erratic beat me to it with Trinidad-Quartey. I'll also add Trinidad-Norris.

 ... it was 2004. Shane was a non-descript lightweight in '96, still a year away from his first HBO appearance.

Who knows Akinwande might have beaten Holy. Henry was a holding machine but he was aslo big with big reach and pretty akward...Holy was never that great against big guys

Good one. Even more of a reason to hate Spinks.

Ibeabuchi/Grant: would've either been as entertaining as Grant-Golota, or Ike exposes Grant, and makes for a better fight against Lennox (though probably would've lost)

Hopkins/Calzaghe: Fight would've been a good one when planned for late 2002, or at least much better than it would be in 2008.

Quartey/Whitaker: Type of fight that was probably more intriguing than it would've been entertaining. Still, curious to see how a more active Ike would've fared against a declining Whitaker in April 1998, instead of wondering what if he fought someone else in the 16 month between Lopez and Oscar.

That fight was never going to happen, Sugar Ray never wanted anything to do with the Windmill Maniac.

Yeah, and that would've been a good one.

Was not officially set or anything, but it was destined to happen until Salvador's untimely death...Salvador Sanchez vs Alexis Arguello.
