whoa! The Ring with breaking news?!?! What's next, FightBeat gets a home page?

But damn, sounds like they're downplaying it a bit. I hope a follow-up story doesn't have him drunk and beligerent at a bar, punching a hole through the window and is now up on charges.

If this is true, he's not fighting in February. In fact, I'd say it puts him out in May.

Didn't Pavlik once say that he originally hurt his right hand in a bar fight?

The truth behind that story in the nightclub incident was that a bouncer tried to make a name for himself, insulted Kelly's girlfriend and provoked a fight with Kelly and shoved him, and Pavlik laid him out with the right and he banged it up, yes.

You might be right, Kauki...I think the sight of Taylor's lifeless body, twitching on the canvas, traumatized Pavlik forever....Just like the sight of Zoo quitting traumatized Hatton forever......Or the sight of Abdula quitting traumatized Cotto forever.....or the sight of Margarito beaten down traumatized Willi....you get the point......

Pavlik might have won a temporary scrap, but now Taylor is stalking a wounded and limping Pavlik for kilometres afterwards, ready to mow him down when he drops to his knees and his arms fall off from the poisonous incision he gave to Kelly in the second round,..:crafty:

So once again, Taylor ruined him.

Not as such, Dympeople, although,..Abdullaev Cotto might...well,...nah, not as such, probably the closest description I could give would be, the way Castillo ruined Fraud in 2001 ? or 2002 I think it was, one of those demoralising experiences that ruins a fighter for life.

Abdulaev might have crushed Cotto's dream of being an Olympic champion, but he's done okay since then.
