Pick a cliché, any cliché; “the passing of the torchâ€, “the changing of the guardâ€, a “crossroads†battle. They all apply to the heavily anticipated bout pitting Miguel Cotto against “Sugar†Shane Mosley on November 10th, 2007. A “standing room only†crowd will be in attendance, along with several hundred thousand via HBO PPV, as Mosley defiantly walks into the lions den, a.k.a., Madison Square Garden. In a year full of memorable match-ups Cotto vs. Mosley all but guarantees to be the most distinguished http://www.fightbeat.com/article_detail.php?AT=527
Nice read, REED. I picked Mosley in the prediction thread, but Cotto IS probably going to win. IMO, Shane's only chance is to land flashier combos over 12 rounds. I don't see him getting Cotto outta there at 147.
:: @ the ad in this thread. I think Mosley has a good chance of winning. Cotto has been hurt by lesser fighters, and Mosley is still a good finisher.
that was a nice read, i agree for the most part. one thing im noticing is the betting odds for this fight. Not only is mosley an underdog, but he's 7-2 to win a decision while cotto by KO is 2-1. Now I think cotto will win, and by late stoppage, but almost 4-1 on mosley to win a dec. tells me either someone knows something, or there's alot of money away from a likely outcome
