Pick a cliché, any cliché; “the passing of the torchâ€, “the changing of the guardâ€, a “crossroads†battle. They all apply to the heavily anticipated bout pitting Miguel Cotto against “Sugar†Shane Mosley on November 10th, 2007. A “standing room only†crowd will be in attendance, along with several hundred thousand via HBO PPV, as Mosley defiantly walks into the lions den, a.k.a., Madison Square Garden. In a year full of memorable match-ups Cotto vs. Mosley all but guarantees to be the most distinguished

Nice read, REED. I picked Mosley in the prediction thread, but Cotto IS probably going to win. IMO, Shane's only chance is to land flashier combos over 12 rounds. I don't see him getting Cotto outta there at 147.

 @ the ad in this thread.

I think Mosley has a good chance of winning. Cotto has been hurt by lesser fighters, and Mosley is still a good finisher.

Cotto is going down no need for articles about it.

Good read, REED. 4th paragraph down, first sentence, change "cause" to "because".

In that pic Shane looks kinda nervous to me. Miguel looks like Miguel always does.

that was a nice read, i agree for the most part.

one thing im noticing is the betting odds for this fight. Not only is mosley an underdog, but he's 7-2 to win a decision while cotto by KO is 2-1.

Now I think cotto will win, and by late stoppage, but almost 4-1 on mosley to win a dec. tells me either someone knows something, or there's alot of money away from a likely outcome
