Doesn't Frazier hate Ali to this day? What i mean by this thread is which fighters hated each other the most? I don't mean stupidass mayorge saying shit for show and then kissing hugging and probablly sucking his opponent's dick in the changeroom. I mean real hatred. Fights where a ref had to force a touch of gloves. Fights where there was no gloves being touched, no mutual respect after the fight, no good words said about one another?
I think there was strong dislike for one another in the lewis golota fight. The staredown plus after the fight, they just walked past each other. NOTHING..
oops, Barrera - Morales. Vargas never kissed up to Oscar. He did sit down with him one time to discuss a rematch though.
Actually, from what REED has Read, they Met a Short Time AFTER the Fight for a 1-on-1 Dinner & Cleared the Air... No "Kissing Up" by Either Guy, but the "Edge" was Definitely Taken OFF of the Animosity btwn the 2... REED
Joe Louis said later that the only two opponents he really hated were Max Schmeling and Tony Galento. He later became friends with both.
Bowe and Golota didnt' seem to have any love for one another either.. And speaking of Pazienza. I'm pretty sure he flat out hated the jewish kid's guts (the one he ko'ed in 4) forget his name but i remember reading about it vinny got pissed off when the kid told a reporter that he doesn't even consider pazienza a challange..vinny went out there and knocked him the fuck out...there was also a rematch..not sure if they made up since then
rosenblatt, also, Hilton-Ouellet hated each others pretty hardcore but it seems they have since made peace.
Robinson/Basilio from what I hear both guys weren't too fond of each other. Ali/Frazier I saw a couplle of years ago sitting by one another during an NBA game I think. Not sure there but they seemed very friendly with one another. Norris/Vaden had some bad blood. De La Hoya/Vargas of course.
Calzaghe-Reid. One of them put his arm around the other after the fight, and "the other" just looked like he wanted him to FUCK OFF. I forget who it was. I think it was Reid. Reid just wasnt having it. Any of it. Or maybe it was Joe..... Vitali-Sanders I think Vitali wanted to hurt him something bad. I really think he wanted to fuck Sanders up.And he did....but he was so pent up he nearly blew it, he blew a tonne of energy on nerves just trying to get to Sanders. Benn-Eubank They sincerely disliked each other, especially on Benns behalf. He despised Eubank, and still does. Tarver-Jones. Nuff said. Tarver hated him. Jones wasn't too keen on Tarver either.
Joe still hates Ali. I don't buy that friendly shit, Frazier will say he forgives Ali and then the next week will say he's responsible for Ali's current physical condition and say it with pride. Carmen hated Ray b/c he once went up to him to shake his hand and Ray gets blew him off. I think it was Carmen who also said when Ray died "I wasn't gonna lie, I don't care, he was the most arrogant son of a bitch on the planet" or something to extent.
This is the one I instantly thought of- they really couldn't stand each other (especially Benn). That was just Benn's way of getting up for fights, though; he didn't have a whole lot of love for McClellan, either, if memory serves... I get the feeling that Wittor and Hatton won't be buying each other a pint any time soon; Hatton particularly seems to dislike Witter intensely. MTF
