I always thought Mosley looked a bit like Moore too.

he won 6 rounds, at most.

I had it 114-114, but if anyone desrved to win, it was Cotto.

Provided PBF gets past Hatton, I think we'll see Mayweather-Mosley in the spring of 2008.

Mayweather and Arum hate each other. Cotto will fight DLH in May 08' and the Golden Snaggle Tooth Mafia will entice Floyd with the lure of the payday of a DLH rematch but want him to go through Mosley first.

Mosley fought a good fight against one of the top WWs in the world and it was a real close fight. Mosley's stock shouldn't drop, he's still a very good fighter and one of top WWs.

Cotto won a classic war. No excuses from Shane himself. End of discussion. Next topic please.

Nah, I agree that it was very close... just completely disagree with your "if anyone deserved to win". If anyone deserved to win this fight it was Shane Mosley. Great performance. :bears:

The crowd, maybe. The fight? Never.

Ask yourself 1 thing: who would you rather have been at the end of the 12th round? Unless you have a pain fetish, you want to be Cotto. End of story.

Donny - Musze is right, scoring the 9th for Cotto is as ridiculous as scoring the 11th for Mosley.

That was one of the Shane's clearest rounds.

There were a couple of rounds where the stream fucked up, but from what I could see, Cotto won 7 to 5.

I was fucking impressed with Shane though. Especially his stamina for his age. He threw more punches than Cotto and finished strong.

And although Cotto disappointed at the end of the fight, and didn't try and turn up the heat like he normally does, he was a bit discouraged and weary and tried to coast.

Anyway despite that, he is one solid, strong little bastard. He looked like the smaller man in there, and Mosley is one STRONG bastard as we all know, and yet when they grappled Cotto got the best of it. He is very strong.

Even Shane himself didn't think he won.

It was an admirable performance from Shane though, and a close fight.

You can trace Cotto's victory to ONE strategy tactic- Mosley holding his left hand too low.

    Also Mosley's jab SUCKS.

Cotto was bigger in every department. His neck, bridge, shoulders, back....all thicker. He lifted Shanes leg off the mat in those clinches. If you cut these guys off at the legs, you would see that the upper body of Cotto is bigger, wider, thicker. Shane had a girly back by comparison.

    Classic war my ass! A classic war is Corrales-Castillo I, Trinidad-Vargas, or MAB-Morales I.

This was a good fight, but no damn classic war!

I still think Pavlik-Taylor deserves FOTY over this fight.

I'm just playing with you guys... it was close, and I was rooting for Mosley. Just talking a little trash. Mosley is the only active guy that I root for when he fights.

    Ok.

So....from 2:46 - 1:34 when the action starts up finally, Cotto lands pretty much all of the solid shots (including combos to the head) - about 6-7 of them, except for two body shots from Shane inside around the 1:34 mark. Mosley's head shots are blocked or literally hit Cotto's right glove.

1:33 - 1:20 Cotto landing jabs and the counter left.

1:18 - Mosley lands a right hand on Cotto's ear.

1:10 - Mosley lands a left hook...so does Cotto. BOTH flush.

    1:09 - 0:58 - Cotto lands a head-snapping jab, then a hookercut and overhand right in combination.

0:57 - 0:42 - Good tussle along the ropes - Mosley comes in with two good body shots, Cotto returns fire to the body when they're tied up with 2-3 shots, then they trade and wrestle.

0:41 - 0:26 - nothing much, then wrestling and exchanging inside shots along the ropes. Mosley lands a nice right upper to body, Cotto a left to the side.

0:25 - 0:19 - Cotto sliding along ropes, biggest punch landed is a hard jab from Cotto that snaps Mosley's head back.

0:18 - 0:12 - Cotto against ropes and Mosley lands a good overhand right, then a left hook. Cotto counters with a good left hook and a right to the body.

0:11 - 0:08 - Cotto lands a jab, a right to the body, a left hook upstairs then slides away.

0:07 - 0:00 - Cotto stays away then closes the round with a good left hook clean on MOsley.

    That is a COTTO round.

This is NOT the round where Cotto is supposedly hurt and the ref separates them, sorry.

That was the 10th - which I gave to MOSLEY.

I don't normally do this, but I respect you and Jake the most in terms of scoring so wanted to break it down.

    Peace.

At the end of the day both Mayweather and Hatton were WRONG...

i bet both of them will try their hardest to lose their fight next month..so they don't have to face Cotto....:clap::clap:

For someone who supposedly bench pressed 400lbs Mosley seems to lose grappling matches in every fight. Is there anybody he's fought who didn't toss him around at will. Even Collazo had his way in that department if I remember correctly.

At least Hops was right about history repeating itself.

    Mosley lost in the garden.

Old tired Shane had Cotto wondering and backing off late on. Cotto isn't indestructable by any stretch of the imagination.

Cotto IS BIGGER in every upper-body department than Shane. Shanes back and neck were TINY by comparison.

They would quickly betray him if word got out that there was a sale of "100% Boricua" windshield decals at Antonio's Custom Auto. The arena wouldve emptied out quick.

Sometimes it seems like he lets himself, maybe to save energy. But when he exerts himself, he often shoves opponents into the ropes. Mosley is strong.

Tonight it seemed even when he tried, he couldn't outmuscle Cotto.

The fuck has this got to do with anything?? Torres had Cotto bouncing like a rubber ball. We can play that game all night.
