Psyche!!! Just want to be the first one to overrate him after beating a bum. On a side note, why wasn't Paul Williams one of the names that he brought up when asked whats next for him? I think hes scurred.
I'm not a Margarito fan, but I'm not an out and out hater either, like some. One thing is for sure, if Margarito fights someone even slightly inferior to him, he blows them away. Six Heads, Golden Johnson, Cintron......he immediately seeks to impose himself and rip the initiative away from them. Thats more than can be said for some.........and there is no shame in losing a razor thin decision to an undefeated 6'4" southpaw welter. Lets see Floyd fight Williams.......
I don't know anything about these things. The judges had it very very close, and, for the point that I am making, that will suffice.
"Margarito had his chance, he could have fought me tonight, he could have fought me in June," Cotto said. "He preferred to fight Paul Williams, now he'll have to wait his turn."
Cotto already attempted to fight the Fag. When the time came to signing contracts, the Fag absolutely refused to sign it, choosing to fight (and lose) to a former sparring partner of his....
Why are people acting as if Margarito somehow got badly schooled or "exposed" by Williams? I had that fight a draw, and the most anyone can reasonably have it is a pretty damned close fight. Margarito, whether you love him or hate him, is still a top-5 welter at this point. Peace.
margarito is not any easy fight for any welter. he certainly should be in the mix despite you delusional haters claims.
Even though he was fighting a can last night I thought Margarito looked lethal out there, he was putting his punches together impressively. He's a live opponent against ANYONE around his weight. Top five welter for sure.
The Floyd fanatics fear Margarito. They don't ever want to see Margarito in the ring with their little pretty boy because they'll fear for the worst, the worst being Margarito smashing his glove through the back of Floyd's little head.
A totally preditcable response from the same bunch of guys who say the same things every time Margarito is mentioned. Had I not known better, I would swear you lot were afraid of him for some reason, with the way you carry on. Toni looked good stepping back in against a guy designed to make him look good. Something fighters like Judah, Casamayor or Lacy were unable to do in their last fight....yet all I see are excuses and patience paid with them..yet the same guys butcher Margarito for getting the job done. Predictability is not a desriable trait, in my opinion.
I hate correcting people's grammar in here... It's either "He looked well" or "He looked very good" :tease:
They're very afraid. Reed, sly, all of them. They would sh*t themselves if Margarito ever stepped in there with Floyd.::
Margarito is not back he was here all along, he just happened to fight a limited guy that was right for him to look good against.
Truth be told, I just say it because of Kauki and overrated period Margaro went trough. I think Tony gives Floyd, Cotto and everyone around a tough fight. I would love to see Cotto-Margarito next. I'm surprised there's no buzz.
It's EASY to "Put your Punches Together Impressively" when U're LITERALLY Facing a PUNCHING BAG... REED
What Floyd Fanatics "Fear" is that Floyd will DOMINATE Margarito as he did Baldomir & Get the Same Level of "CREDIT" he Got for Beating Baldomir... The SAME Peeps who Said Floyd Needed to Fight the "Linear Welterweight Champ", Only to DIScredit him Afterwards would Only Do LIKEWISE After Floyd Won a WIDE Unanimous Decision over Margarito... REED
