1. I hate how he always scores a round 10-8 for a guy that scored a knock down. Round could have been EASILY won by boxer A but boxer B scores a flash knockdown and all of a sudden he wins it 10-8 2.I hate how he sometimes just "gives" rounds to boxers regardless of if they won it or lost it just to adjust his scorecard. Example would be Cotto fight, he scored the last round for Cotto even though I believe normally he would have scored it for Mosley, but since it was the last round and he figured most would have Cotto winning he gives it Cotto just to have him win on his card too instead of a draw. 3.Why is he NEVER shown on TV? I know dude is far from attractive but is it his personal choice or is HBO just that shallow? They did air SEVERAL Hopkins fight without blurring out his face so why not show Harold? 4. Has anyone his daughter? Does she at least have a good personality?

1) I hate it too. 2) Alot of people at ringside gave cotto that last round. 3) He doesn't need to be on TV. He gives scores during a fight and provides no insight before or after. 4) His daughter is a very cool person. And her looks come from her mother. Harold is the man. The guy shows up to almost every fight in the new york area.
2) I just used the Cotto round as an example. He does this a lot he just gives boxers rounds to adjust his card. He decides how close or how wide he wants it too look and just gives rounds to accommodate for it

Agreed with the automatic 10-8 thing....it gets ridiculous. But to your point I can see how people gave Cotto the 12th. Harold is weird....I usually EXPECT his scorecard to be off....but then all of a sudden a fight comes on and in my view he's DEAD on. He's just inconsistent. I do agree he's gotten worse with age, though, overall. Peace.
his daughter is awful looking. but, referring to your #2, this is the biggest problem i have with him too. they may as well kick him to the curb if he's going to score fights with the score-cards of other judges in mind. another thing he does that is just plain immature and babyish is that once in a while Lampley will loudly voice his opinion as to the winner of a round - and usually it's one in which the winner is little in doubt, and Lederman, you can just tell, will score it the other way, as if to say, no, Jim, I'm not influenced by you. I score my own fight. Bear in mind they all sit next to each other. Lederman is a fucking idiot judge. He should do us all a favor and quit the business. And judging from the Pavlik/Taylor score-card his daughter is no better (certainly no better looking).
:bears: Very true. He has tendency to do that shit. The fact of the matter is he gave many rounds to Shane that he SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE and I think he knew that and tried to make up for it by scoring the last round for Cotto (it was still a close round though).
